Blue/green? What is that? The National Party, but the fast-track consenting exemptions come in a recycled envelope?

Hmm... warning against the windfall tax is that investors seek stability. Make the tax permanent, not windfall. Stability achieved.
(also what are spooked investors going to do? take the gas somewhere else?)
Petrol being more expensive is almost as effective as an EV subsidy.
Oh, my point is it'll happen. That if we don't destroy ourselves first, this mess can be a turning point. But that it is indeed a mess and it's too late to save us *this time*.
I've seen it discussed at various points, and it looks promising. But no one's retrofitting the diesel container ship in time for next week.
Hey don't worry, I'm sure they can sail the container ships down to Aotearoa.
The one thing no one tells you about Australia is how much smaller its paper towels are
Compuserve 3.0.1 from 1996
I'd be alright if the internet went back to this.
It's been *checks* 7-months. What's good, bsky?
Oh I know, but they don’t appear to be as common. Whereas here it’s seemingly in place at every apartment building I’ve considered.
Yeah it was definitely here before based on the online listings I see. I sort of haven’t engaged with Garage Project as much in recent years. I’m not always the biggest fan of a hazy, and that seems to dominate their playbook to a certain extent.
It’s extremely annoying to learn that I can’t buy the 0% stout here. That Tiny Stout is so good.
Ah I wasn’t aware I could do that here! I’ll subscribe. It’ll help me deal with the ways I’m realising that parts of renting here are somehow worse than in Wellington.
I have not struggled to find very good craft beer, but I imagine mileage may vary outside Melbourne.
Can also easily get Whittakers at basically the same price as back home. Biscuits are certainly worse.
Things that are also worse:
- embedded utility networks at apartment buildings.
Deeply cooked.
Stop glorifying ‘build to rent’. It’s just another asset class rebranded by corporate landlords.
Any streaming platforms banned AI-music yet? I'd like to give them my money.
People like Smith and Starmer simply don’t belong in a Labour Party worthy of the name.

The racism is definitely worse here. That's undeniable.
On the other hand though, their tax system is closer to decent (still bad), rent is cheaper (still too expensive), supermarkets compete more (still evil), seeing a GP is easier and cheaper, specialises are easier to find.
Etc.
I dared to jokingly say I had found things better in Australia than NZ since moving and someone I've never interacted with called me a moron and a racist.
I don't think they read much lol
Wild how so many believe their freedom limited by not being allowed to limit the freedom of others.
This is not my experience but I am happy for you
Cheers, Cheffie. Good to be here
The fuck?
Moved from NZ to Australia in March.
Things that are worse:
- Internet speeds
- Chocolate milk
Things that are better? Everything else.
Will back this forever. Thank you.
Pour the money you would have spent paying stupid hourly rates to agencies on paying creatives *more* to stand out from AI-generated videos and photos.
I'm good with AI being used for 'simple' social copy, email copy, SEO blogs etc.
I say this as someone who has made a living off that stuff. I've experienced absolutely broken economics that marketing/comms agencies depend on.
Let AI reform that world, and leave the creative to humans.
