I'm currently creating
tailwindcss code snippets on easingwizard.com by using the linear() function and arbitrary values. I'm thinking about writing a Tailwind CSS plugin which enable users to write easing functions like in the screenshot. Would this be a great feature?

The @keyframes hack was used in the past before 'linear' got the new feature set. What would be your use-case for having the old keyframes style instead? You should be able to achieve everything that was possible with the old way with the new syntax.

For the Bézier easings I use the 'bezier' timing function in CSS, for the more complex easings (spring, bounce, wiggle, overshoot) I'm using the 'linear' timing function with it's new feature for setting keyframes. This is supported in all major browsers, for Safari since 17.2 (Dec 2023).

And the width/height transformation as well. I studied design and we learned the principles too.

That’s exactly what I love to do and where I can shine as developer with design background.

As far as I know, margin does animate in steps. Could you use transform instead?

I don't think so, sorry.

Get yourself an Apple TV, you can automatically use your phone as input device. Even better than a keyboard in my opinion because you don’t need an extra device.

Couldn't you achieve the same by chaining animations together? With a delay this should work.

Only problem would be if you wanna run the animation more than once.

Yes, on-device AI is a big advantage in my opinion.
It secures the data and the privacy of the user and (if the device or the model is fast enough) it can be faster than cloud-based AI.

I took your site as inspiration and created a CSS easing editor with support for spring, wiggle, overshoot and bounce by using the linear() feature.

I've built an easing editor as well with a lot more options and presets.

Ich wünsche es mir sehr, dass die Wähler es erkennen. Aber ich habe leider starke Zweifel.
