Late downpour + Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall + photographic excellence from Matthew Child = this

What a decently pleasant equaliser that was. Think both teams will probably think they could have taken it by the scruff of the neck at certain points but overall a positive for me.

Exactly this. Always think of the phoniness about ‘hard times’ and ‘we stayed through the Hodgson era’ when they won the league too. My brothers in christ, he was there 5 months 😂

The absolute kip of them. Been said elsewhere but they *Won The League* last season. Most fragile, entitled set of fans anywhere. God forbid their club ever goes through any genuine on-field strife.

Well, neither have made a good album since 2016, if that helps your argument

Really nails that Wout Faes ‘must have been someone else’s fault’ look these days doesn’t he, VIRGIL?

I came at them retroactively so was aware of 96-01 era before going back when the greatest hits came out.

I was delighted & astonished at the sheer gall of a band like that existing & still blows my mind that they weren’t as big even before Richey went missing, like, how didn’t everyone LOVE them?

I mean yeah I’d personally have said 91-94, but they are so very different looks & vibes, 92 they just look so gorgeous.

It’s genuinely incredible they went from GT to THB in 2 years, & I constantly implore people to explore them before EMG as it’s just such a wild & unique ride. The best.

A weird sort of queasy PTSD going around with myself & I think many other Blues too tonight from Tottenham.

Can see why it becomes so easy to spiral as they must feel like we did for such a big club: everyone is watching them & laughing at them & waiting to pick at the carcass. God bless mid-table!

We really could have stemmed them a bit more. We’ve given that a great effort but got close enough to be frustrated by doing so. Cricket eh?

Three comfortable points obviously helps but felt like the most natural experience of Bramley Moore that tonight, very enjoyable.

A win and weather and good times will be had down here, no mistake 💙

What a glorious heist that was. Rehan definitely potential to be an absolute fave of mine.

Hate the term but has anyone ever had a more ‘clutch’ tournament for England than Will Jacks has here?

What a knock, Harold Brook 🏏

And I for one am shocked that we’ve looked unlikely to create much with this lineup…

Completely winnable this is we want it, but spent a good measure of that half worrying about them and turning back.

Also, and I know this is a mad thought, but shows the benefit of having a comprehensive and competitive preparation in the conditions you’re likely to play in?

Brilliant stuff from England in the field. Never as over at the half way mark as commentators seemed to think.
