Unusual event observed on AS58224 (TCI) in #Iran today. ~15:00 UTC, they briefly withdrew 74% of announced IPv4 space. After recovering, #Internet traffic from the network skyrocketed.

Power issues impacting the AWS ME-SOUTH-1 region today are also visible in the @radar.cloudflare.com Cloud Observatory. Starting ~0500 UTC, shifts were visible in metrics including traffic, error rates, response header recieve times, and connection failures.

In Israel, Cloudflare Radar shows a clear jump in Internet traffic this morning as people followed the news. Traffic rose nearly 50% after 06:15 UTC compared with the previous week, a pattern typical during fast-moving events that draw nationwide attention.
Internet connectivity in Iran is now in a near-complete shutdown, down about 98% vs the previous week. The disruption began around 07:00 UTC, following reports of military strikes — and in past incidents the government has responded with nationwide Internet shutdowns.

After 58 hours, Storm Kristin’s impact in Portugal is still being felt, with power and Internet disruptions continuing in some regions. Traffic in Leiria is now about 40% lower than usual, and in Santarém about 30% lower. The Coimbra region has mostly recovered.
Storm Kristin hit Portugal early this morning with winds up to 150 km/h (93 miles/h), causing power and communication outages. Internet traffic dropped ~70% in Leiria after 04:00 UTC and remains impacted. Coimbra saw a ~52% drop from 05:30 but is now recovering.
A Russian drone & missile attack damaged energy infrastructure in #Kharkiv #Ukraine, resulting in a disruption to local #Internet connectivity. Traffic dropped by ~50% just after 17:00 UTC (19:00 local time).
