I have shingles right now. It attacked the trigeminal nerve in my brain and it has been one hellish month... possibly longer with PHN pain in my eye, face, head. Get the vaccine if you can!

Last year I received an unsolicited video of my buddy breaking his leg skating. So, last week I reciprocated with a photo of my gargoyle face, post-trigemenal nerve attack covered in shingles. I was scorned and reprimanded!! Why? Is the plague not on par?

Maybe an assignment from the perspective of historians who depend on zines as primary documents to counter archival silence? Will try to think of something fun and engaging.

‘The damage is terrifying’: Barbara Kingsolver on Trump, rural America and the recovery home funded by her hit novel Demon Copperhead, the author’s retelling of Dickens during Virginia’s opioid crisis, was a global success. Now she has used royalties from the novel to open a recovery residence

I absolutely adore Barbara Kingsolver. So wise and generous. Read ALL of her books and this article from The Guardian. #wisdom #BarbaraKingsolver #DemonCopperhead www.theguardian.com/books/2025/j...
