This is so true. And if you want an example of what happens when you force beautiful victories every season, just take a look at where US Survivor has ended up

The fact that a boring episode that yielded random results is still better than I expected from the ‘big twist’ is not a great spot for Survivor to be in.
Could Karin have answered Kristina’s jury question on her season? Would it impact her vote if a finalist couldn’t name one of her loved ones?
In Steven's exit interview he said that he wasn't afraid to sit next to Rizo because he felt Rizo's theatrics weren't landing. Is it a reasonable strategy or Rizo to do this purposefully, to lower his in-game threat? Or is it too likely to make the F3 too difficult to win?
Should Rizo have given Savannah his idol to protect against Soph's KIP? That's too cute, right?
How did Jeff's ultimatum to call Sophi B 'Soph' manage to reach all the way to her loved ones?
Can you please provide us with a space metaphor, or a kangaroo metaphor?
At what point should Savannah/Rizo/Soph begin to look at turning on each other? Is there a world where Soph uses her KIP on Rizo, and not Kristina?
Does Myles see similarities between himself and Rizo (even though 'Jungle Rat' is one of the few AU nicknames to not reference being a god?)
Rob called it "Survivor malpractice" to not flush Rizo's idol, but wouldn't it be a bigger mistake to vote for Rizo in this spot, since he should have almost certainly needed to play it? Did any actual plan exist that could have flushed it?
What are your thoughts on idols only being able to be found after your tribe loses immunity? It puts the tribes in a spot now where everyone knows no one in yellow or red can have an idol at the start of the swap.
Have there been many tribes in Survivor history that voted out their strong guy early and suffered for it? World tribe voted out Rob B and then never lost another challenge. Is tribe strength in the form of Jake overvalued (and puzzle strength undervalued?)
Should Jawan and Matt have formed an alliance to knock Jake out of the coconut throw challenge at the journey? Seemed to be the only way to add any non-randomness to the challenge, but also paints a large target on them if they were to do it.
How nice was it to have an episode with no journeys, idols, or lost votes?
Where’s the ‘dislike’ button?
What? Oh no! That’s such a tragedy. :(
You're absolutely right. I relistened to the draft intro and Rob specifically says no points for S3 Traitors :(. (And it's pretty funny to hear you argue against the 3-2-1 point system being used, and then benefitting greatly from it)
Ooh, this is great. They literally go over exactly this scenario in the hypothetical, but using an S48er instead of Rob. +1 point to Shannon! (and Taran for Yam Yam)
True, but she cameoed on season 3 for the chess challenge, which should count imo
I just checked and the Traitors 3 cast was officially revealed in November 2024, so I think those points are rightfully yours!
Here's the breakdown I've got, dunno if it matches what you have
Does it make it better or worse that you’d be just one point behind him if you got this point?
If Kamilla gets Kyle voted out at 5, who wins the season?
Here you go!
What’s the largest animal you could take in a fight? And how absurd is it that Joe said a gorilla?
What can a dominant strategic player like AJ do to actually make the F2? It seems so hard for him to get taken to the end by anyone.
I had the same question. The powers the millionaire gets each ep transfer with the money, so it seems pointless
Is the process of bonding with people different at the start of the merge than at the start of the game? It seems more dangerous to share too much at merge, since it makes you a jury threat, but you need to make new allies quickly somehow.
Great article Grace! Love that you got the chance to pitch a Survivor season of D20
Who most needs to wear a Get Along shirt with AJ post-season?
