Pet peeve: media outlets promote or mention a movie or show based on a book. But they fail to state the author of said book. WTF?

Totally. And so many films I'd never heard of! A few are on Shudder and I've since added them to my queue. I actually watched this with my husband, who is also a horror fan, but is not familiar with a lot of the stuff that's come out in the last 15 years or so. It was such a delight.

Learning new things, especially as you get older, can be difficult. Learning something new that interests you NOT AT ALL is damn near impossible. Make it an online class and oh dear, you're screwed. But you have to do it, because you're a grownup and them's the rules. Ugh. I'm so fucking tired.

Mosasaurs as long as an adult T. rex swam through Cretaceous rivers. The lizards weren't there by accident or aberration. They lived there.

I don't use "AI." None of the writers I know & work with do. I'd go as far as to say, most of them are actively repulsed by it

And of course they are. Using an LLM to "write" (or at all) is like ripping out a page of someone else's book, eating it, shitting it out & proclaiming it your masterpiece
