Oh yikes, I had no idea!

Actually, I’m gonna extract that elements and hash them myself outside of SF
@screamingfrog.co.uk, is there a way to create a hash based on specific parts of a page? For example, I want to be able to find dupes of a certain element of a page across 1000s of pages, but the element might be different each time.

Cheers John, useful info to know
Long shot: @johnmu.com, almost a decade ago you hinted that Google may use a 9000px high viewport. Is this true? And are there new numbers?

The internet, if a country, would be the world's 13th largest emitter of CO2. The good news? SEOs can help.
GreenSEO is back for their 5th event in April at #brightonSEO UK.

Can’t wait for this
I’ll have to check it out
It’s killing me
According to the Sitemap specs, it needs to be utf-8, which means %26. But then for the canonical tag I think it depends if you want option 1 or 2 indexed. 😩🤔
Tech SEO question. Which version should go in a canonical tag, and an xml sitemap:

The rumors of my untimely demise have been greatly exaggerated.
That said... I am back because I now have capacity for new work opportunities 😎

Hey @rustybrick.com, do we have anything from Google saying this? Or is this assumed as links normally get their own updates?

Thanks John, hopefully soon.

Hey John, quick question. Do you know if the stats are accurate, and Google crawled less through that period, or is it the reporting that broke?

Rectangles are in
Thanks John 🙌
A question about <lastmod> in a sitemap index file. If a referenced URL is removed from a sitemap, should the <lastmod> of the sitemap in the index file be updated too? There isn't anything new for Google to see in that sitemap, so it feels a bit odd.
One for @johnmu.com or @methode.bsky.social ?
