Me. Today:

Do not touch my new helix piercing.
Don't touch my ear.
Don't touch the piercing.
Don't do it.
DON'T!

It's only 8 hours old.
Give it a chance.

Just watched Artemis II launch.

First launch I've watched live since the Challenger explosion in 1986.

Very intense emotions.

Wish all the best to the crew and support staff for a safe and successful mission and return home.

PM will address National Press Club tomorrow.

I expect a thorough analysis with in depth & complex questions, covering areas of oil/fuel future, military involvement & diplomatic developments.

Real unbiased #journalism please.
No clickbaity bullshit please.

So our PM basically said to:

1. *Don't be a dick.* Don't take more than you need. Consider alternatives.
2. *It's gonna get worse.* Not a total surprise but whatevs.
3. *I'll do what I can but please refer to point 1 again.*
4. *Have a nice Easter.*

3rd September 1939

Prime Minister Robert Menzies in a national radio address....

"Fellow Australians, it is my melancholy duty..."

When we entered the war against Germany.

In more mundane news..

The mop attachment for my #Ecovac decided to just fall apart today.

Looks like the plastic around the screws holding it together just disintergrated.

So I'm back to the old fashioned method and my back is hating me.

But my floors will be clean!

And in Australia at 7pm AEDT our Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will address the nation on radio & tv.

Last time this happened was Scott Morrison (2020) for covid.

Before that was Kevin Rudd for the global financial crisis (2008-09).

Brace yourselves folks.

5km slow tun this morning. Very slow. Foot was sore but nowhere like Monday.

And now I have hiccups.

So I received an automated reminder from my doctor that my son & I are due for our annual flu shots.

Cool.

Call them up to book & they tell me to call after Easter to see of they have received the free shots from the government. None yet.

Interesting.

Are they manufactured in Oz?
Anyone know?

Some of my local servos are starting to run out of diesel.

33 have it.
6 don't.

Makes me a little nervous. Glad we have an EV too. Gonna avoid using our diesel car as much as possible.

Suspect it won't be long till some violence happens at a fuel pump. Don't need that.

Went for run this morning.
Just before 2.5km got a pain in the ball of left foot that would up up to top of foot. If I kept running it would get worse & travel up foot to shin.

Ended up walking & jogging till I got to 5km.

5hrs later pain is low but still there when I walk.

What have i done?

My son is convinced i have sleep apnea because I snore.

Probably but a gentleman doesn't address it so boldly.

Especially when all they know of sleep apnea comes from an ad they saw while playing Wordle at school.

No thank you kind sir!

Hauled my arse out at 6am for a 5km run. Wasn't fast. Wasn't easy. Felt heavy.

Sooooo cold but no rain so yay!

Have stuff to do so hope to stay warm and not nap (but will probably nap).

I used to be good at maths. Like, seriously good.

But instead of focusing on that I decided to do a bit of law, customer service, risk & compliance, then motherhood.

I've discovered I can't do addition anymore. Addition! I mean I can. I'm just not good at it.

Or basic communication it seems.

Not as depressed as I was a couple of days ago.

But shit is piling up again so let's see how long my non-depressive state lasts.

I did watch Toy Story 3 tonight with my boy. That helped.

I've decided to not run tomorrow. I need a break. Next run will be Friday.

So just a swim tomorrow. Considering the forecast is storms I think I'll be indoor somewhere. Goal is a minimum of 1.2km.

Today I did 1.7km.

Gotta rest sometimes.

I'm genuinely interested if this will turn into a situation where we will actually see a reduction of road traffic..

So at this point in the timeline I have an interest in learning about farming machines/vehicles that are changing to electric.

In times of great struggle great innovation can be unearthed.

I did a 5km jog & a 1.1km swim today.

Struggled to do anything else. And yet here I am.

My last swim involved thinling about the long term impacts of reduced or no fuel coming to Australia. Depressing stuff.

Trying to find balanced journalism among the shitty online crap is almost impossible.

So I'm trying to find stuff to do away from the online world.

This timeline is fucked.

I'm buggered.

The weekend is MINE!

My partner is proud with all the exercise I'm doing this month.

Which is nice.

But it irks me when I figure out he's been telling others about it.

I wish to control who & when I share info so I can prepare for the judgement that always occurs.

Always.

Heard a story that police had chased some people who were at Bayswater train station siphoning fuel from the cars parked there.

I can't find any report on this but I wouldn't be surprised.

Is this happening anywhere else around #Melbourne?

Another 2km swim done.

Tomorrow: 5km run & 1.5 swim.

I should point out that this month I'm doing a charity swim. Aiming for 20km & currently at 13.5km.

My son's grade 5 class was recognised school-wide for their "enthusiasm" in performing the Nutbush.

I love it!

People need to do more than say "this is wrong".

Maybe ask "why is still allowed", "can it be changed", "how did it get like this", "how can it be changed" &, "will any change provide the right result for those impacted".. And there are many more questions to be posed.

I'm over stupidity.

People get sucked in to simplistic questions without much thought.

They want to yell their opinion and demand they are correct because their heart is the purest of all.

Pure intentions without no critical thought or deeper investigation demonstrates a person who is... disappointing.
