Didja get it ok?
What you after? Adrianne?
Ahh - is that the train station one? So good
Did you binge the lot? The guy in the photos terrified me as a kid. So good.
I used to listen to Surfer Rosa every day on my way home from 6th Form - it very specifically dates me but I’m sure that is also the best way to listen to that LP - even if I’ve. It listened to a Walkman now for maybe 30 years
I’m gonna roll along to my store later in the day to see if they still have Walker Brothers and Adrianne Lenker - glad to read that they are both good ones.
Difficult to express in words the elation you feel when you manage to peel a satsuma (or other, similar fruit) in one piece. Really makes you feel like it’s gonna be a good day.
Not making any judgement on the number, but the Daily Fail is struggling today with the difference between “by” and “to”
This. youtu.be/yNQi4rag0c4?...
I saw a 20 minute thing on yt yesterday that had interviews with all the principals -maybe about 20 yrs old but worth a look
Green Waste collection up to £69 this year - that’s £2.87 per collection, and they’ve managed to miss our entire street on the first collection day. Poor show.
There are 48 candidates
Just got an invitation to vote for the NEC on my Trade Union - “You can vote for up to 28 candidate” it says - and the leaflet with candidate statements is like a Great British novel. Maybe later…
I discovered today that shaking out soil in a soil sieve gets interpreted as steps by my Garmin. It reckons I’ve done more than 10, 000 today and I’ve hardly left the garden
I got transferred from one company to another last July and ever since then my Tax Code has been all over the place - First World problem I’d know, but I’m hoping it might get back to normal now we’re in the new tax year.
Every year now, we celebrate our son’s birthday and I’m reminded of this excellent Jude Rogers piece about Talk Talk which discusses April 5th.

Just came looking for this - Happy Birthday!
Ah - life was a madhouse but our hygiene standards were through the roof!
Sainsbos delivery and some Fairy liquid leaked over a few items. They gave us a refund for those items (just shy of a tenner), let us keep
It all, and as a bonus, our food is super-clean now.
Last One Laughing - a real treat to see Graham Lister again. The world’s suffered since he last showcased “Lard for laughs” on national television.
Yeah that’s when it was dated ! Good work winning!
@drewdgray.bsky.social Just saw this on FB - is that you?
I don’t know if it’s just me, but I spent ages getting to sleep last night because I couldn’t get my ankles comfortable.
Today I’m reminded that just because somebody asks for your dietary requirements before an event, you shouldn’t assume they’re actually going to make any effort to cater for them #glutenfree
Taking care of business. We need to do this and move on.
I can relate to that :) I think the listing is the only reason this school remains standing whilst every other middle School fell away in the rush from 3-tier to 2
I had a tour of one of my old schools about 5 years ago - pretty sure that the fittings in the library were listed but instead of it having a library there it was the Deans (or Chanclleors - I don’t recall) office. Was still a nostalgia hit though.
Went for a walk around the block and bumped into somebody who said he knew the family that used to live in our house - spent the next 20 mins giving me his little bit of local history - funny old lunch break !
I’m looking forward to this - Talk Talk are an under appreciated band that merit further study.
