Oh absolutely it did! There’s no question about that. Things like this highlight the dangers of relying on AI instead of using one’s own intelligence to discover answers.

I mean, technically the AI gave the correct response to that question — the mushroom could indeed be eaten, but the original question asked nothing about the mushroom’s toxicity.

It’s a case of the AI answering what was asked, but not what was meant/implied by the (now late) asker…
