Its amazing how much value there is in studying us constantly, yet our creativity is apparently worth nothing.

A cozy retro living room setup at Seattle’s Living Computer Museum, with a plaid armchair and ottoman facing a wood paneled television cart holding an Atari 2600. A round golden shag rug, side table with lamp and rotary phone, record rack, and framed bird artwork complete the room, making it feel like the perfect place to sit down and play.

Seattle's Living Computer Museum had a room set up where you could sit and play an Atari 2600. It was just perfect.

Mario Gameboy Fan Game Mockup

Mario Gameboy Fan Game Mockup

Here's my entry for #marioday
I imagined a lost #gameboy sequel "Super Mario Inc." so here's a few mockup screens. 😁
Also, I'm actively developing it on #gbstudio! 😤
Let's see if #nintendo will sue me.

Oh man, I had a shareware version of Glider on my old Mac Perfoma. Now I wonder if someone made a Linux version of Glider at all?

Objects can have arbitrary shapes. While we could use sspr to draw them, we would have to fit everything on a 128x128 spritesheet (without compression). So I'm testing filling the polygons in using electricgryphon's trifill function (www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?uid=10844). #pico8 #gamedev

Added a "key" parameters to walls that makes them "drop". So now we have doors. #pico8 #gamedev

I made an entire lighting system in #pico-8 just so that I can make this effect and I have no idea if I should keep it or if it's too distracting.

Guess I could dim it a little bit, though.

The way I imagined it, you would have a Y axis value for a paddle, and a rotary encoder would change that value by +1 or -1 to the value depending on how each time a wiper passes the beam inside the encoder. Then have the +1 and -1 added to joystick up and down which in turn changes that value.

I wonder what the controls are like?

If I were making a Pico8 pong game, I would need to figure out how to get information from a rotary encoder into numbers and plot that to the Y axis of a paddle. I'm saying this like I know what I'm talking about when I have no idea how to problem a pico8 game!

I got distracted building pong and I think it's looking pretty good. Do I start a series of classic games like this for pico-8? Maybe. PONG DFECT?

If anyone wants to make some music for this feel free to reach out, I don't have music skills nor do I really grasp how to use pico-8's editor for it.

Hah, it's been a long........ time since I last played them. Plus I think I played them in my friend's ZX Spectrum, I'm sure those didn't have the same kind of border art.
