It has been a pleasure to present our EQUIP program at the #AALLConference2025.
EQUIP is a new initiative to support first-year university students via peer-led sessions focused on building academic skills. EQUIP also recently won a UWA Award for Excellence & Innovation in Learning & Teaching.

In Chapter 1 I quantitatively assess support for the Social Intelligence Hypothesis via several meta-analyses. Here I find overall support for the SIH across species, within species and during development.

Here we find that the social environment, notably vocal and aggressive interactions, are linked to cognitive development in magpie fledglings.
