(stares in unaligned carbon-extraction companies)
I really really do not want to hand it to That Guy, but SpaceX capsules running Linux and Artemis running Teams really does make one question NASA procurement rules.
This thread seems to indicate that Artemis uses Teams specifically because ISS does.

I think a lot of us even at the fairly cutting edge haven’t really internalized it yet.
If you’re too close, it can’t get the alert to you in time so doesn’t alert at all.
The CA earthquake app will happily alert you based on your home address!
Very loudly!
While you’re in Florida!
☕️
Ask me how I know 😠
I was at STS-1 but I was three 🤷🏽
Extremely lucky timing (Florida wasn’t our spring break destination until just a few weeks ago) and a great time with family except for Sunday which has mysteriously disappeared from my brain
My day was pretty good.
Got to watch this with my mom, who was at Apollo 11 too.
A rocket plume, against a blue sky, over a crowd of people
I was eight in 1986 and I was enjoying watching today’s launch from Kennedy right up until the view looked like this, at which point I got angsty real fast
There have been sprinkles already at the visitor center.
And most likely having a partner who does a lot of other online stuff for you while you’re out.
This is why I have considered this but haven’t pulled the trigger: ultimately it means making my wife do a bunch of stuff for me, not stopping those things.
And the line at the Publix deli is full of space t-shirts and polos, including EESA. Truly the space coast.
Woooooo 10 miles away and moving closer.
(I tend to think the long-term future for this on-wiki is that prompts need to be at least partially wiki-editable, but that’s going to require a lot of prototyping since the historical wiki position of “edits are harmless and can be reverted, so require no approval” doesn’t work here.)
What rules is the bot applying? eg., is there something like a skill or prompt that encodes the key parts of commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons... ? Being transparent about that would be good.
The bottom button isn’t very clear when it will change (or create) the caption; there is small print under the button but just combine it into the big print in the button? (You might also have a parallel bot for images without captions?)
would be nice to be able to click through to a suggested category; eg for this image “hands in art” is suggested, and from my experience I know “hands in art” is about hands _depicted_ in art commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:%D...

Wondering if anyone has written a journal piece on terms of service through the Frankfortian lens.

Just everything branded Copilot except the other thing called Copilot 🫠
I suspect your read is their intent. But from a brand perspective it is clear as mud, and from a tech perspective I see no reason why one would be reliable and one would be entertainment 🤷🏽
I thought for sure that this must be fake, surely even @microsoft.com would not have the gall to say this while simultaneously spending millions on advertising to small business owners that they should rely on Copilot.
But nope it is right there.
Logged in! Still having missing image issues.
This is killing me. I saw in the last week, I could swear here, a repo of tooling (including prompts) to build a “family Wikipedia”: feed it photos, oral histories, etc., and it helps you build a family Wiki: a page per person, per family trip, etc.
And now I can’t find it for the life of me. ⁉️
No, no, AI is techniques I don’t like
I’m in Lakeland, driving in tomorrow night, with my mom (who saw the Apollo 11 launch from in front of the VAB). Fingers crossed.
sincerely, a guy with a BS in computer science
his stories are complex thoughts that have politics, even if he doesn’t realize them as such because like many white men he’s convinced that his own thoughts are “neutral” and “apolitical” and that only women and brown people have “politics”
what do you think the odds are of a Wednesday launch actually happening?
