Have we confirmed if Rocketboy1313 was doing a comedy? Or is the reply still somehow in a stare both of sincerity and irony Shrodinger's bit if you will (and if someone could please point out my umlaut omission, I'd be grateful, thx)

The cover to My Beloved Other by and copyright (c) Nick Abadzis and Angela Watson. It shows two hands forming a “heart” symbol. The hand on the left is Angela’s (who is Black), the hand on the right is mine (which is white. Sort of Greek, actually, but please read the book to find out more about that.) Yvette Cooper desperately pulling a string of flags out of her arse on breakfast TV in a doomed attempt to win back the racist fuckwit vote - oh I'm so glad the grown ups are back in charge, aren't you?

Nah, not doing that, it's far too late in the day. Trans rights are under attack right here and now. This keeping shtumm for tactical reasons was always a bad idea, an invitation to be thrown under the bus, but now it's unforgivable. My 18 year old trans son needs someone fighting for him right now.

Pretty kitty! This is our feline pal, she's called Ramona. As luck would have it there's another local cat of the same name, and she sometimes comes for a visit. This has led to a frequent query in our house: "Hey, it's supper time, where's Ramona? No, the real Ramona!"

I was so sad to hear of Jean Marsh's passing yesterday.

I've got some lovely rare pics of her as Sara Kingdom in #DoctorWho, which I think were taken on 3 December 1965.

But "monster" implies an ethical and moral judgement. "Orange" just means he looks silly. The former is coming from a fundamentally more serious place than the latter.

OFF TOPIC. When I’m not doing Blake’s 7 stuff, I’m a freelance graphic designer (always available!) I’ve just finished working on the branding for an exhibition marking 40 years of HIV activism in Manchester. Runs Apr-Dec at the Central Library. This one is very personal to me. Go along if you can.

Very impressed the BBC have managed to find a Goon Show pic where Spike looks like Ian Curtis in 1979, Pete looks like Tom Lehrer in 1955, and Harry looks like James Corden in 2010

Elizabeth Sandifer has been obsessively documenting and narrating the Great British Comics Era (focusing on Moore and Morrison) and took a side path to write on Gaiman something which is both a damning portrait and the most comprehensive analysis of his work.

The great advantage conservatives have is that the more they fuck up society the more they can point at society being fucked up and say "this is why you need us". They destroy air safety. Planes fall out of the sky. "Damn you, wokeness!!! Vote Trump!!!"

Pop Between Realities, Home In Time for Tea 2 (Quatermass) Pop Between Realities, Home in Time for Tea is a recurring feature in which things that are not Doctor Who are looked at in terms of their relation to Doctor Who. This time, we look at Nigel Kneale's ...

Elizabeth Sandifer had some clever things to say about how Quatermass is and (more importantly) isn’t reflected in early Who: www.eruditorumpress.com/blog/pop-bet...

Doctor: I’m afraid you’ve been in an eight-year coma. I have to tell you that Nazis are in charge of America but it’s ok, a giant comet is going to kill us all in 7 years.

Me: shit. I’ll distract myself with something comforting. Harry Potter?

*doctor shakes head sadly*

Me: Gaiman??
