You saw the bird lantern last month at my EcoIlluminessence art show and performance. About 20 yrs ago, I used to do black and white darkroom photography, focusing on my handmade animal-shaped lanterns. I also experimented with image transfer & mono printing.

🌀 We Have No Choice
While updating my link-in-bio on X, I stumbled back into a poetic fragment I wrote in 2016, during a Twine workshop. It caught me off guard — still strangely resonant.
Fun fact: I didn’t use any professional graphic software — the illustration was generated through a carefully crafted prompt:
" an accessibility poster with a gender-neutral person walking with their alert service dog. Illustration style. Green color theme. High contrast suitable for low vision"
I designed a behaviorally-informed poster as part of the WorkAble intern sketch project with the Accessibility Directorate — supporting public awareness of service and guide dog access rights.

Guests explored this subtle dance — letting the artwork, scrolls, and objects cast evolving shadows that moved like puppets, without strings.
A quiet invitation to discover what’s often overlooked in mainstream art shows:
🌓 light as breath, shadow as storyteller

Signs and write-ups are printed for each station (a few still waiting to be posted), and a few more documentation photos are written and ready—just not nailed to the wall yet.
Almost there! 🖌️🕯️
✨One more night to go!✨
Sumi-e curtain setup is now complete—just added an artificial backlight in case the evening window light isn’t strong enough tomorrow at the Xchanges gallery.

Turns out installing serenity is more chaotic than expected.
Still deciding if I’ll leave part of the window uncovered...
Reset after floor cleaning.
3 hours later... lanterns lit ✅
Sumi-e curtain? Still in the bag 🫠🎐
