I think I need this written on a post-it by my mirror.
It would be helpful to be reminded regularly.

They will never be satisfied with the Government's transphobia. Their zealotry is incompatible with any coherent, workable policy (even an explicitly transphobic one).
Give up Wes - they'll never like you, it will never be enough for them. /end
Only a public shaming is adequate to deal with a trans person who dared to leave their home it seems.
This re-framing of the (presumed trans)* victim of discrimination's attempt to access needed support services as the action of a predator is abhorrent to me.
*because they can always tell, right 3/
judgments of their appearance, presentation or conformity to conventional standards of femininity. (In a respectful and dignified manner of course!)
I am appalled that SM feel that mandating this disgusting harassment of insufficiently feminine women as a policy is not humiliating enough!! 2/
"Given what is known about autogynephilia and fetish associated with crossdressing, it is irresponsible to suggest that service providers (often the female staff of women’s services) must treat as if in good faith a request to play out a scenario that may be the masturbatory fantasy of a man who enjoys breaching women’s boundaries, (see also the example at 2.2.7 of a man who manoeuvres a receptionist into a side room on the pretext of not understanding that he is male and that it would therefore be inappropriate for him to attend a female-only counselling group). "
I can't be sure, but I'm assuming the thing they are referring to here is the 'good practice' example in the EHRC's draft COP document, requiring front-line service staff police the sex of their customers by selecting women and pulling them aside for extra sex verification based on superficial 1/
I remember hearing people say this about dyslexia when I was in school.
If it doesn't show up in a blood test it isn't real to these people.
In the latest UK published drivel; they looked really really hard at the Science but were unable to verify that hormones cause puberty so lets not rush into any 'experimental' treatments based on wild speculation, we need to commission some very serious research into this🤬🤯

oh no, don't start the egg discourse again
Talking to people with lived experience and changing your mind? 😱 Helen would never.
I went to a gender critical comedy show, but they only told One Joke
I think they are just bad at taking any complaint seriously as they hope in the first instance that problems will go away if they are ignored :(
Tweet by @InternetHippo: They taught AI how to talk like a corporate middle manager and thought this meant the AI was conscious instead of realizing that corporate middle managers aren't
"Claude is my friend, he's just like me fr!" smh
Not sure how they know, but it's not just people who have updated their documents before.

"Searches were not limited by hormone type (masculinising / feminising); this was to ensure that the widest selection of papers were included in the search."
So they were open to studies giving oestrogen to non-binary people who are seeking to masculinise? 🤮 I bet they were gutted there aren't any.
So if 6 of the reviews found zero studies in scope of the review, then what is in the text of the reports? What have they written in them if they didn't have anything to write about? What conclusions can you draw? How can you evidence those conclusions? You haven't done 10 reviews, you have done 4.
Do you think they used AI to write these reviews? That seems like an unusually high amount of extremely sloppy mistakes for a human (who's job it presumably is largely to read and synthesise this sort of healthcare data regularly), even someone half-arsing the work.
You can do what you want, but I don't see why this is related to an announcement about the UK. Ireland is a different country.
TransActual have a Communications role open currently, if you haven't seen it already. transactual.org.uk/jobs/
We have to reject hate.
We must choose hope.
Many people in the UK also measure weight for humans in stones and pounds. The convention of referring to weight loss in pounds is why it's a good advert. The double meaning makes you notice it and look twice.
1st panel: grey meeples to pink meeples "you do not fit in here" 2nd panel: pink meeples in smaller square "okay we will make our own place" 3rd panel: grey meeples to pink meeples "why are you excluding us?" | pink meeples "oh no"
What an incoherent bunch of complaints:
“I suggest these women leave the WI and find a mixed-sex organisation to join instead"
“What is to stop every one of your own WI members saying, ‘Well, I’m not going to rejoin the WI? … We won’t be able to afford to pay the rent on the hall"
incoming next:
Cass mispronounces Brianna Ghey's name in the middle of this 🙄
Dignity and Respect, etc.
Thanks! I'll watch it.
tbf, the Suffragettes didn't fight for all women either. But "Votes for Wealthy, White Women" isn't as snappy.
And after WWI many noted Suffragettes became fascists and enthusiastic members of the Blackshirts.
THE CASS REVIEW DID NOT RECOMMEND A BAN AT ALL WES!
"Those who have the protected characteristic of gender reassignment are referred to as 'a transexual person' … not as a 'trans[exual]' woman or man."
Yes, this makes sense because obviously women and men are not persons/people they are a different third thing.
Trans people are the only real people.

Oh good. I had a little panic there.
I think the 40 days exclude recesses too, so if it isn't laid next week the deadline will run into next year. Honestly, it feels like the waiting is the worst.
I thought it hadn't been laid before Parliament yet? The clock hasn't started, right?
I presume they said "Give me an image that is twice as British as '3 lions' "
