I'm obsessed with the idea behind Jay Dragon's Seven-Part Pact, which is described as "gm-full" rather than "gm-less". It involves seven wizards, each responsible for their own domain, meeting to hold council with their own personal grimoire. Everyone is a gm, everyone has their own rules to sling.

I mourned this game for years after it fizzled out. Honestly feels totally out of place that it's manifesting at this particular moment. The fact that it's back from the dead and actually getting released is objective evidence that we're not living in the VERY darkest timeline.

Godot feels like what it is: an engine made in 2025 by people who know how small to mid size games are actually put together.

This is an amazingly succinct analysis of what I’ve noticed as an indie/artist that tried to make a commercial product.

β€œPassively consuming frictionless media” is so on point.

We’ve lost our ability to be in dialog with media and instead demand instant satisfaction for our niche needs.

Normally it’s annoying in a sequel when you have to get all your skills back but Death Stranding 2 makes sense because losing your gains because you had a kid is the most relatable middle aged guy shit on earth.

Oh no... Why are we waiting for a patch? I've been playing on PS5, does this mean I have a valid excuse for not beating it?

Kurt Vonnegut tells his wife he's going out to buy an envelope:
"Oh, she says, well, you're not a poor man.
You know, why don't you go online and buy a hundred envelopes and put them in the closet?
And so I pretend not to hear her. And go out to get an envelope because I'm going to have a hell of a good time in the process of buying one envelope.
I meet a lot of people. And see some great looking babies. And a fire engine goes by.
And I give them the thumbs up. And I'll ask a woman what kind of dog that is. And, and I don't know. The moral of the story is β€” we're here on Earth to fart around
And, of course, the computers will do us out of that. And what the computer people don't realize, or they don't care, is we're dancing animals. You know, we love to move around.
And it's like we're not supposed to dance at all anymore."

A classic British tea break in full swing β€” a pink-rimmed mug proudly bearing "The CoLab" styled like a floppy disk sits beside a plate with a couple of chocolate-topped biccies, ready for dunking. A laptop glows softly in the background, but it’s clearly time for a proper cuppa.

I think @alexwinter.com posted about it the same day I bought my GodotCon pass, so my brain automatically jumped to "Oh wow, I guess this thing is a bigger deal than I thought! I didn't know he was in games."
