Before I knew of this movement I was beating this drum at ALA annual last month - there’s a wide gulf between the Newbery and the Printz but not enough effort to discern and promote books in that gap.

My favorite thing I heard (so far) today:

A fourth grader warning one of her classmates not to use Sphero Indi on our rainbow carpet because it’ll try to read the carpet as instructions. That was one of our “you learn it the hard way” lessons in third grade!

I'm taking over a high school library for a retiring colleague next year, and a DnD club was pretty high on my list of ideas! There's already a pretty robust improv troupe there, so we could probably get some great campaigns going!
