i love riding the train to more places
if the MAN SG 220 has no fans then i am dead
anomalies
it’s real
first 222 rider ever
king county metro’s timetable colors are never consistent aaaaaaaa
another detail is that B and 250 haven’t seen significant ridership dips because very few people were using the buses as a full redmond to bellevue connection since they are pretty slow. these are for the most part new riders and new trips, which means fewer cars and more people getting places.
cascades trains running with conventional equipment are allowed to run at the talgo speed limit so there likely won’t be any travel time changes
i am so ready
real!!!
idk man every other animal on the earth seems to get on just fine without credit scores
i can’t wait to take the train to sheep station.

(revised) 931 is back June 21st!!! First time the 931 has ran in over 5 years and the first bus service to Cottage Lake in over 2 years.
i post this shit as if anyone who follows me doesn’t already know what’s in the next service change lmao
if new bus routes bring joy, then some people (me) are about to be very happy :)
renumbering not remembering lmfao
i’m not sure why they aren’t remembering the 269 to a 210 route when it becomes an I-90 route. they are remembering the 208 to 215 and 311 to 256, but metro seems inconsistent about when it considers a route “new” vs “revised”.
part of what makes it difficult is the eastside’s numbering system has changed many times and continues to the change as service become less downtown-focused. 250s especially are starting to become a new class of Redmond/Woodinville routes with the 250 and upcoming 251 and 256.
the 200s bullshit is mostly classifiable:
200s - local routes in the I-90 corridor
210s - I-90 routes
220s - mainly Redmond
230s - mainly Kirkland/Woodinville
240s - mainly Bellevue
250s - SR-520 routes
260s - SR-520 routes (old)
270s - SR-520 to U District
280s - night owl (old)
290s - DART (old)

in the future the route will be replaced with the 256, which is basically the same route but it deviates to kingsgate p&r and slu. (4/4)
it was then trimmed back to duvall at some point. in 2012 the duvall trips were cut back to woodinville, giving us the route we have today. (3/4)
from what i can tell, this route started life in the early 80s as a downtown to avondale route via jackson park and woodinville with a companion route (310) going out to duvall. eventually it was rerouted over SR-520 and took over the 310’s route out to duvall and novelty. (2/4)
