Threatening to climb out of the cellar!

I’m looking forward to visiting in a couple of weeks. I love good urbanism.
It’s great to see the Bill Russell Bridge bike and scooter path already cleared of snow.
Wait, why wasn’t it plowed the whole way?
@massport.bsky.social heck yeah! Nice to set the bike lane plowed.
10 days after the snow stopped, this is still the condition of the bike/scooter path across the Bill Russell Bridge. @massdot.bsky.social Do you know when this will get cleared?
Does anyone know what government entity is in charge of clearing the paths on the Bill Russell bridge? It’s a shame to see them in this condition.
I wrote about how we’re losing Third Spaces, why this is a civic emergency at a time when we’re watching the world burn through our phones (and in our streets), and what an intervention might look like.

Supposedly, water all over the North Atlantic is stirred up, but it definitely doesn’t mesh with the beautiful day today.
The new stop is convenient if you are going to the far east end of the Seaport, but it basically doubles the travel time from Lovejoy to Fan Pier. What was previously a 20 minute trip is now approaching 40 minutes.
Final stop: Harpoon Brewery
Arrival at Pier 10, Black Falcon Terminal
Passing Long Wharf
Headed off to our next stop, Pier 10 at Black Falcon Terminal.
Stop Number 1
P’town ferry canceled due to rough seas 😔. So doing a Nightshift to Harpoon mini boat hop instead ⛴️ #ferryfriday
I always figured that our skin doesn't actually detect absolute temperature, but heat transfer, i.e., when heat is leaving our body, we feel cold. Heat leaving our body faster, feels colder. Since water is much more dense than air, it draws out heat energy faster than air, hence it feels colder.
Woops! That's embarrassing. It gets shallow quickly in that area near the pool and Coast Guard.
With a very cool appearance of the USS Constitution.
Happy 4th from the ferry to spectacle island!
You wouldn’t think a waste water treatment facility would be such a nice place to spend an afternoon.
After arriving, it’s about a one mile walk to the entrance of the park at Deer Island
40 minutes from Long Wharf to Winthrop
Taking the Winthrop Ferry on #ferryfriday
So bike lanes take up too much space, but …
Some voters ride bikes. Is he just writing them all off?
Old Scollay looks like a blast!
That path is in a park at the very tip of Nahant. It’s a beautiful place.
Spring weather Saturday; time to take the foldy on the commuter rail to see the sea.
One really cool thing East Boston did was add floating docks to their harborwalk. People can hang out on them, actually touch the water, even launch a kayak. I don't have any good photos, but you can see a couple of the docks in this Google Satellite view. www.google.com/maps/@42.366...
