I am going to be so pissed if--after everything--I do, in fact, die of dysentery.

This a million times over. Family medicine trained here. Primary care is the hub of patient care. PCPs handle so much.

I’m still paying my medical school loans from 22 years ago. Trained in family medicine, but I don’t do primary care anymore. Insurance companies and CMS force primary care to run assembly line medicine where quantity is more important than quality.

I have many regrets about Earth, but making humans in a wide range of colors, shapes, and temperaments is not one of them.
Celebrate thy diversity.
Love each other.

January reads. Several really good books here. White feminists, please read Hood Feminism. We’re doing it wrong. Also, Radium Girls would have been a different story if it was Radium Boys. Also recommend the audio versions of The Night Diary and Finding Me. They were excellent. #readingchallenge2025

Cry me a river. Whether it be eliminating DEI, putting up roadblocks for gender affirming care, or only deporting black and brown immigrants, voters that support maga also support hate. GTFO.

Many antidepressants are already on there. I recommend Cost Plus to my patients all the time. It’s mostly generics, though. For example, here is Lexapro.

Controlled substances usually have different regulations, so offering Ativan can be more complicated.

If ICE Agents Show Up at Your Door
You do not have to open the door. If you do, stay calm – you have rights.
Ask what they are there for (and ask for an interpreter if you need one).
If they ask to enter, ask if they have a warrant signed by a judge and if so, ask to see it (through a window or slipped under the door).
If they do not have a warrant signed by a judge, you may refuse to let them in. Ask them to leave any information at your door.
If they force their way in, do not resist. Tell everyone in the residence to remain silent. If you are arrested, you have the right to remain silent. Do not sign anything until you speak with a lawyer.

If You Interact with ICE Agents at Work: Ask if you are free to leave. If so, you may calmly walk out. You have the right to refuse consent to a search. You have the right to remain silent. You do not have to discuss your immigration status with anyone, such as about where you were born, whether you are a citizen, or how you entered the country. If you have valid immigration documents, you should show them. Never provide fake documents. If you are arrested, say that you wish to remain silent until speaking with a lawyer. You have the right to record your interaction with immigration agents as long as you do not interfere.

Tú tienes derecho a guardar silencio.

Also taking classes for an ecological gardening certification through our local conservatory and botanical gardens. Working on my houseplant collection as well.
