I once saw advice that would grind my writing to a halt if I followed it. They said that 'you have to know the ending of the story at the start' and that would be impossible to me. I'd lose interest. I need to solve the mystery. I write as my interest arrives and then edit it together layer by layer

Friendly reminder that when folks say that you "have" to follow specific writing advice, you do not, in fact, have to.

What they are sharing is what works for them, and while it might be useful, there is no one way to get your writing out into the world. Do what works for you.

This is simply untenable. There is no way forward with media and political classes captured by the right. Every time someone commits a crime you have to pray it's not an undesirable or it's purge time, then when it turns out to be themselves again they just shrug and wait for the next one.

My current comfort YouTube channel is a US Navy fighter jet pilot doing voice overs for videos for landing, takeoffs, refueling in the air, etc. He sounds so calm. Growler Jams.

I've learned more about this guy, still doesn't change the fact that he didn't deserve to die the way he did yet seems like my original viewpoint of him only wanting conversations with others was wrong (my info was based on what a friend had told me & now I'm learning more from additional sources).😓

Like IDGAF what your political or other views are, unless you shove them down other people's throats or abuse/torture others. If you're not doing anything vile or deprived to others, you don't deserve to get punched... & you definitely don't deserve to be killed for it.

I didn't even know who Kirk was until a friend explained. Sounds like he wasn't pushing his views on anyone, just wanted to have a conversation; he wasn't violent toward anyone or threatening.... This is horrible & an unnecessary death... Condolences to his friends & family.... 😢
