Either is fine. Woodworking and books is an excellent combo.
On a fun note, I finally have my used Jet jointer running w/ a shelix cutterhead. Milling some hard maple for a hallway table. Zoweee! This machine is a beast! #woodworking.

You’re funny. My profile comment was semi-rhetorical. It’s just an old Unisaw with a bunch of safety upgrades. Jessem stock guides, magswitch featherboards. Shark splitter. Gotta save the digits for writing.
Definitely more of the zen than the applied. There’s some advice, but he’s not Norm. That said, it’s worth the read. Not sure it was worth the sticker price. But worth the read.
Tired of talking about politics so question for 💙📚 #booksky: What do people think of the new Murakami? Me? I am a huge fan of his but this one I can't get past the first 30
pages or so. A retelling of Hard-Boiled that goes...nowhere? Worth pushing through? Can't believe I'm this stuck on a Murakami!
On a less fraught note I just finished reading ‘The Anarchist’s Tool Chest’ by Christopher Schwarz. A deep appreciation of the #woodworking craft, if a bit old-school for my taste. The man certainly knows his hand tools.
I would so much rather post about #woodworking but to me this is terrifying.
Wow - just a few clicks and was able to follow all my follower and friends from there over here. Thanks.
FYI the best way to find all of your followers & friends from over there over here is @sky-follower-bridge.dev. Super cool.
Been hanging onto my old twitter account but this truly did me in. Shutting it down over there. #muskisanazi
Realized I am completely out of #WD40 for the first time in my adult life. Good with #ducttape but geez. Major life mistake.
Hello #booksky 💙📚! New here. Anyone start the new Murakami yet? About to crack the spine on my copy. Feeling jittery!

Nothing more than what I have - a double thick slab of Baltic birch ply with kreg metal legs so I can just get to work. Workbench is pretty much the same as my writing desk.
I seem to remember Peter Millard, the 10 minute workshop guy on YouTube, did a video on the dog hole sawdust issue a while ago.
Why are a bunch of #horror accounts starting to follow me? You seem like nice folks but I’m not really a horror junkie. Well, horrified of our current political situation and @stephenking.bsky.social, well yeah, that guy can write. But I’m not much of a blood and guts type.
Thanks! 3/4 plywood w/ factory edge and some hold-down clamps I assume?
Thanks. Think I’m going to try this approach. Appreciate the guidance.
Maybe depends on the wood species. I've done 2 of Pure on live edge walnut. Really popped the depth.
Hey #woodworking bsky, anyone have jointing advice? Edge jointing longish maple boards (46"-48") on a tiny benchtop. Nice machine-Jet helical but very short table. Setup's ok. Edges end up with a big arc. Thinking boards are too long/heavy for this little guy. Thoughts? Find a bigger jointer? Thx!
This is how I do Rubio. Always works fine for me. I like two coats though, despite the name. Deeper patina. You?
Almost any Murakami.

Springsteen/Swift 2028. Make America Rock.
I’m not worried. John Stewart said it’ll be ok.

And I know table saw posts perhaps aren’t that interesting to people in the midst of political upheaval, but if the USA is falling apart, I’m hoping we can at least go down with some nice, handmade furniture. Lord knows I’m not getting any writin’ done. So in the words of Mr. Miyagi, sand the wood.
Old but new to me Biesemeyer fence installed on my old Unisaw. SawStop is for millennials and YouTubers.
