Problem with exFAT is it doesn’t have journaling, if/when there’s a power loss or kernel crash in the middle of a disk write, you’re left with a corrupted state and it’s much harder to recover / repair corrupted exFAT disk than a journaling system like NTFS/APFS/ext4
