I'd rather die of an unknown genetic condition than have it considered and looked up by a bad doctor who thinks XX and XY are as different from each other as gazelles and cockroaches. And then see him present the diagnosis with a triumphant grin on his face.

In a perfect world, I might have seen the benefit of having an ASAB field in records, but if there's one thing you learn when you're trans, it's that too many people and systems just cannot be trusted with that information, including many medical professionals.

It makes me so angry that the only medical "benefit" I've experienced since the vaunted "trans tripping point" is that every doctor and insurance company now demands you state your ASAB, and once they have it, that becomes the only factor they consider in your treatment, everything else be damned.

Way back when, the first step in making companies do this was to actually declare war first. But I guess that's passé
