I hope you feel better 🙌 💜
Even I’m not weird enough to want to collect something like that tbh
It’s surreal; seeing an active Al Jolson fanbase in 2026… Some Black guy posted this comment on “The Immortal Al Jolson” Facebook group:
@andrewhickey.500songs.com Do you have any thoughts on Al Jolson (né Asa Yoelson), specifically his fall from grace culturally? He was known for defying Jim Crow laws and contemporary Black critics loved him. But today he’s considered racist (or at least his performances are), for obvious reasons.
Starting from when they started proposing state bills on ID verification for adult websites, it wasn’t about protecting children. It was always about mass state surveillance. Passing those smaller bills allowed them to prime legislators and citizens for this.
Random Freddy I have saved on my phone 2 cheer U up
Saving for next year…
RIP Sid Krofft (July 30, 1929 - April 10, 2026). A very talented puppeteer and pioneer in live action children’s shows. Worked with Judy Garland, Liberace, and Jack Wild, amongst other entertainers. He is gone, but forever missed. 💜

Orban’s defeat shows that when we stand together against the politics of hate and division, hope wins and the far right friends of Farage can be defeated.
While Trump's assertion that "a whole civilization will die tonight" represents a discrete threat of genocide against Iran, the fact that it comes from a U.S. president, while Congress does nothing, actually represents a broader civilizational collapse — whether he follows through or not.
I literally can’t get off tiktok because I’m obsessed with watching HR Pufnstuf edits. This one is so cute
Sometimes, you just need people to be present with you. That’s obviously a skill not everyone cares to develop. I’m sorry, Aster. You deserve better.
The late Anthony Perkins would have turned 94 today! He was born on April 4, 1932, and sadly passed away at 60 years old in 1992. He starred in all four "Psycho" films (1960, 1983, 1986 & 1990), as well as in "Remember My Name" (1978), "Destroyer" (1988), and "Edge of Sanity" (1989), to name a few.
I thought this was about the Marty Robbins song at first. Andrew, I had so many questions
You know Lidsville is a really stupid show. Much more stupid than HR Pufnstuf. Literally a show about sentient hats and a 5th of the hats are insane racist caricatures.
But Charles Nelson Riley said "Sit back folks, I'm going to turn in an all time performance". He's really fucking funny in it.
Every time the show is focused on him it's like "okay maybe this thing has legs". But then when it shifts focus to the protagonist and the good guys it's like "this fucking sucks".
Thank you!! Love that show
I like my 3D printed Freddy flute a normal amount
This summer: Read Anne Rice.
Berserk, maybe?
Alas, it's not as artful as shoujosei manga... This is just my opinion.
Someone recommend me media about two people who trigger each other as much as Ian and Jeremy from A Cruel God Reigns... Note: It can't be Interview with the Vampire (But yes, that *IS* the right idea...)
I have a theory that ppl treat Elvis like Pat Boone bc its simply impossible for ears born after 1986 to take Pat Boone's work seriously.
That falsetto at the end was amazing!
youtu.be/NEH3uqbpsm8?...
His voice is better than Anka’s, I’m sad he is no longer touring…
He was three feet from me at one point, when an older woman—maybe in her 70s—ran up to him. I politely stepped back… There isn’t a chance I would get in the way of an original fan meeting her teenage crush tbh.
I like to witness this sort of thing.
I need to see another old school crooner in 2026, seeing Paul Anka in 2023 was so much fun… 1950s lounge singers are my weird special interest.
