“RFK is a eugenicist who believes that people with chronic health conditions deserve to die preventable deaths” is a plain fact that the news media cannot or will not tell the public.

RIP Housing Accelerator Fund, 2023-2026.
The deeply frustrating thing about the housing shortage is that we could solve most of it by simply letting capitalists make a lot of money building homes for people who would like to buy or rent them.
This is absolute corruption, in case anyone was wondering.
At no point should elected officials be involved designing their own electoral boundaries.
Especially in their own favour.
Win by doing a good job, not by stealing the voices of the electorate.
If you report an improperly parked car to the City of Edmonton, step #1 is getting a call explaining why they don't have to enforce their own laws.
Happens every time. Car brain rules this place.
aargh!
It seems dumb to me that because a driver decides to ignore the neighbourhood parking ban, we miss out on the once-only-no-second-chances annual street cleaning in front of our house.
At least they weren't ticketed and towed though, that would hurt their precious car brain too much. 🙏
lawd, i can't believe i'm agreeing with gunter, but it is true that the only people who hate edmonton more than postmedia columnists are all of the city of edmonton managers who drive in from st. albert every day.
3 UCP legislature committee members forced a vote through to deny me, the proponent of #ForeverAlberta petition, Alberta’s largest ever petition, to appear before the committee and speak on behalf of the nearly 500,000 Albertans.
This is another move to assist the separatists.
Never in doubt!

Thank you, edmon bike lanes. 😌
Who could have guessed a lefty like me would be a proponent for letting the market wield its invisible hand, while a council with many centre right polititians would be all about red tape and restrictions?
But here we are.

Imagine fighting new housing builds when you've won the lottery like this?

two island, both with the same number of living units. the one that has a nice big forest is the one with the units in an apartment
I hear you. It is unfortunately when people make the choice to take down trees unnecessarily.
My opinion is informed by the argument in the image below. Also, I think we should be targeting our acres of under-utilized asphalt to be adding trees to the human habitat of the city.
remember you from twitter and I’m gonna be blocking you fyi
two 4-plexes, taken from the back alley, one with a 4-car garage without parking pads attached, another with a 4-car garage wth parking pad
And nearby, I saw these two infills taking advantage of Edmonton's brilliant parking rules
In one instance they decided for a bigger backyard and less parking, in another, double the parking and smaller backyard.
It's called freedom, people!
1940s-era (aproximately) house with a sign in front that says: Approved Development Permit Residential Use building in the form of a 5 Dwelling Row House with 4 Secondary Sultes
This small, old, rotten single-family home is going to be replaced with 9 brand new ones.
Steps from NAIT, two schools, a hospital, Kingsway mall, LRT, and the restaurants on 118 avenue.
What a huge win for Edmonton!

It is really hard to live in Alberta. Sigh.
A modest tax on second homes is the scariest thing this rich lady has ever seen.
