Maybe kiddo make a note, asking the Tooth Fairy to study the tooth & put it back. Tooth could be in a small jar in the AM. Little sticker with the Age, Date, etc? Had to have a bunch pulled before braces, I kept 'em & turned them into jewelry. Helped me cope & be less scared! Dentist loved it!

One of my favorite professors died before she could see me at my graduation, she was suddenly out sick and never came back. I would very much like a future where people live long enough to pass knowledge and culture to others, and see their efforts rewarded.
You also have to keep learning and growing, you admonish older generations for outdated ideas and behaviors, how much harm they do not coming out of their bubble to learn how to be better in community... and you're turning to stone yourself.
Shaming headlines about "youth culture figures" is not the brag you think it is. You do not exist in a bubble, what everybody is doing RIGHT NOW at every stage of life is affecting one thing or another. The bad actors and harm being done don't stop when you ignore it. You're missing glories, too.
genuinely think people outside of America don't realize how big this place is, how militarized and murderous our police are, how little our politicians care, how disconnected and impoverished we have been intentionally made to be, how we still have slavery just with extra steps. we really suck gang
And yet again, I scream into the void: "DOCTOR. Read. My. Chart!!!! FIRST. LOOK. at. the. tests. and. previous. Doctors' examination. LOOK. AT. MY. CHART."
just for the record "death of the author" means "the author doesnt have total control over the meaning of their own art" not "its okay to give money to hitler if you liked his paintings as a child"
Consider the aging population they have, and how helpful this could be.
And how useful it could be here with this mass disabling event we've been cooking.
My 2nd go at college, ended up STARTING a Science Club because... art school didn't think it worthwhile. But for all 2.5 members it was great! (Field triiiips!) It's tough to find regular activity!
(Also, it ended up hooking the media majors up with gigs in STEM, like a trip TO THE NORTH POLE. π
)
I wonder if there's camps re: specific interests? There was a programming camp for little girls out here once (my dentist's daughter was into it!). When I was a kid the local park had camps for learning swimming and doing crafts in the summer. It's tough when so many are ideologically focused.
For no particular reason, thinking today of an Iranian classmate in college. When asked by another classmate what was different, what she liked about the USA, "I love driving! I can't do that back home!"
Actually gasped at the balloon animal on the collar! π
True, but I don't carry my phone around the house. I am curious how different it looks watch vs. phone!
I do wonder if they'll ever have a terrain setting to balance out the data. I need to know if I really am off balance, or just walking around a park with a lot of obstacles.
Lol, I was looking for pics of your dolls on my PC and ran across the redheaded pic this morning. XD
I knew there was a boy mech, too! I just forget names.
*I understood why even he has a whole going up/going down protocol so he doesn't have to go up and down a lot. "I'll be up in a minute." :: he arrives 10 min later :: XD
They had stairs, too!* So did another friend I stayed with the 1st night. As long as they're sturdy! I went to 2 restaurants where the last step down my foot went into the floor. 1 only a dent, t'other a bit scarier - bathrooms down there, and I couldn't even get to the toilet for the floor rot.
Yeah, as much as I wanna stay with him next time, having non-tobacco places to stay would be good. I hadn't realized his mom and gran chain smoked at home. Me after 12 days:
Ah, sometimes I wish I coulda seen the older big boys, or the first versions of Mini-Machinas.
Hopefully I can get back one day and just peep everything in person. ^.~;;
Is it too scary to travel with some of your earlier creations?
Watching Zay's linguistic gems is a great thing you can do for your brain.
I would love to go hiking and be outside more, but accessible options I have few. Third spaces? Money to spend so I'm not "loitering"? Stability and predictability of social groups in this pandemic? In this economy?
Lock in on the bad actors destroying communities in any way they can. Ok? ok.
Or the unattended kids & teens being cruel and nonsensical by way of being deprived of guidance by their families, who let TV/Internet babysitter fill in because they had to be working 3 jobs to keep everyone sheltered and fed. Meanwhile little/no funding for community activities that support kids.
"Touch grass." Eat my entire butt. You are blaming people at the wrong end of the problem. You aren't even directing it at rubes who - secure day to day, have lives, friends - choose to hate online for jollies. Feeding on drama online instead of going to therapy.
You let the narrative - even at the most liberal and "woke" end - be shaped by decades of hate and fear sowing propaganda, shaming and complaining and directing your disdain at people who do not have the resources you do.
Part of the problem here is not redirecting your energy to target people creating a need for connection online because it's not available locally. Even then, online spaces are important and need respect and protection for the tools they are with human connection and information sharing.
Because "going to another service" is not working, every jump people vanish, every jump people are less engaged, every different place to go for a different function means less coherence overall and people disengage.
And every "big ideas" boss and every investor will ruin things eventually.
