I keep forgetting how powerful Krita's "Lambert Lighting" blend mode is..

perfect mode whenever I'm going "lazy" with shading and want a single layer (or group) for both shade and lighting w/o resorting to gradient map. I like how it properly darken the opposing color when using colored lights~

Updated CDN comparison on dark tones, boosted brightness from the original image and upscaled for clearer differences.

OG is uploaded directly through API to my PDS, 16bpc lossy. The dithering pattern is coming from 16 to 8 bit conversion for display.

Though, the default is still served as webp :p

And sadly again, only webp that have a widespread support that can do lossy + alpha channel. Lossy PNG do exist though, but it's quite niche and not mainstream IIRC.
