Thank you for reading both the Oregon series and Shaken to the Core. At some point, I do want to give Lucy her own book, but it's going to be down the road because it will need a ton of research. Luckily, I love research.

Shifting Nature by Jae is a Goldie Finalist in the Paranormal Fiction category. Depicted is the book with the cover showing a woman and a fox sitting next to each other and the woman petting the fox, in front of a forest at sunset.
I didn't check my email yesterday, so I was beyond happy to find out this morning that my sapphic romance "Shifting Nature" has been shortlisted for a "Goldie" GLCS Literary Award!
It's a finalist in the paranormal fiction category.
Congratulations to all other finalists!
In my experience, 99% of sapphic fiction--especially sapphic romance--is written by sapphic authors for sapphic readers.
No author I know would market the book as a sapphic romance if the main character ends up with a man. Of course, the character would still be sapphic, just the romance isn't.
Reviewed on TheLesbianReview.com: Enemies by Nature and Shifting Nature by Jae
I received wonderful new reviews for the audio versions of my shape-shifter romances Enemies by Nature & Shifting Nature:
"The slow thaw between Tala and Faith is truly something special."
Thank you!

To celebrate, I'm sharing five of my books that celebrate the different identities under the sapphic umbrella.

Happy Sapphic Visibility Day to everyone in the sapphic community!
Personally, I love the term "sapphic."
To me, it doesn't replace other terms and identities such as "lesbian"; it's an umbrella term that includes lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, queer...

Sapphic Stuck in an elevator romances
"Stuck in an elevator together" is such a fun trope, but there aren't that many sapphic books with a scene like that.
So I put together a list of all the sapphic "trapped in an elevator" books I could find, including my latest novel Sparks and an all-time classic, Thirteen Hours, by Meghan O'Brien.
"How about you?" Willow didn't look away from Scottie's eyes. "What's the most impulsive thing you've ever done?" "This," Scottie rasped. Very slowly, she leaned forward on her knees. Her gaze dipped to Willow's mouth. Quote from Sparks by Jae
Here's another quote from one of my favorite scenes in my new sapphic romance "Sparks" β‘
They're definitely setting off sparks in this scene!

Thank you! I'm glad the conflict resolution worked for you. To me, it was the only logical resolution.
I think I might write stories for both Kassidy and Celeste at some point.
Reading order of Jae's books
I have updated the suggested reading order of my sapphic books.
You can check it out on my website, where you can also download a printable PDF:

I hope you find it helpful!
Character spotlight: Willow Greene: New admin. Has the most tech mishaps ever. Always has a plan B (just not for Scottie). Reserved black cat type. Used t play bass in a band.
Character Spotlight: Scottie Prescott: IT professional. Too charming for her own good. Loves fixing things. Golden retriever type. Loves Star Trek & PBJ fries.
May I introduce you to the main characters in my new sapphic romance, Sparks?
If you have read it already, did you have a favorite?
Charming Scottie? Reserved Willow? One of the supporting characters?
My sister read the book, and she wants a sequel with Willow's efficiency-loving boss, Celeste.
This weekβs Sapphic Book Bingo category features golden retriever/black cat romance novels, pairing a friendly & cheerful character with one that is reserved & mysterious.
You can find 15 recommended sapphic romances on my website:

Depicted is a hand holding a Kindle Paperwhite showing the following quote from Sparks by Jae: βNah,β Scottie said. βThere arenβt a lot of dares we could do in here.β Actually, Willow could think of a few. A scene from a sapphic romance novel came to mind, in which one of the main characters did sexy things to the cream filling of a Twinkie. For a second, the image of Scottie doing something similar to one of the Oreos left in the pack rose to the forefront of her mindβs eye. Heat prickled up the back of her neck.
It's always really fun to see what readers highlight in one of my books.
Here's one of the popular highlights in "Sparks."
Did you guess which sapphic romance novel Willow is thinking of?
Depicted is a Love Scene Word Count graph with pink bars for the length of each love scene in Jae's books. The longest love scene at about 6750 words is in Sparks, followed by the love scenes in Shifting Nature, Backwards to Oregon, Next of Kin, and Wrong Number, Right Woman.
Turns out my love scenes are getting longer and longer! At 6,717 words, the love scene in my new sapphic romance "Sparks" is the longest I've ever written.
I didn't plan it that way, but I guess you can't have a romance novel titled "Sparks" without setting off some sparks, right?
Audiobook out now: Shifting Nature by Jae. The cover of the book depicts a fox and a woman sitting next to each other, with the woman petting the fox.
The audiobook version of my sapphic paranormal romance "Shifting Nature" is out now: www.audible.com/pd/Shifting-...
"Shifting Nature" is part 2 of a fake relationship/enemies-to-lovers duology that started in "Enemies by Nature."
Both audiobooks are narrated by Abby Craden.
Shown is Sparks by Jae, surrounded by arrows listing the tropes: Opposites attract, office romance, stuck in an elevator, kiss in the rain, golden retriever/black cat, and my longest love scene ever
It's Trope Tuesday, so I'm sharing the tropes & fun things you can find in my new sapphic romance Sparks.
βLongest love scene everβ might not be an official trope, but I think it deserves a mention.
