But to the extent that people are dissatisfied with this because of its timing, or its content... Well what are you gonna do about it?? I'd love to watch your documentary on the rise of slushwave, or URL fests in the post-pandemic age. We all take out of this scene what we put in...

But one thing I want to say is that... it's ok for things to be slow! Or late! This world has gotten so fast, so instant. If the movie had come out in 2023, it would now be forgotten anyhow as everything moves on to the nth next thing. It should be a relief to revisit a time that's not "now" lol

The cool thing about the vaporwave documentary is that it's got people talking about vaporwave! The fact that it's imperfect in ways (especially in how it's a state of the scene from 3-4 years ago but not now) I think actually helps provoke the kind of conversations we should be having.
