Just wait until you think you're done and then experience death by 1000 format nitpickings.

My friend @drlucyrogers.com probably won’t have mentioned it, but she has a book coming out tomorrow, and it’s rather good

A quick trip to the eastern Sierras and/or Europe will fix that for you real fast.

Although moolooite is another good choice, if you want *real* minerals.

Blackmountite, obviously.

I think it's interesting to imagine a dark-side landing as well. Especially if things went wrong. (But probably easy enough to set up a relay if you wanted to)

Here's (I think) the infrasound recording of the #Houston #meteor sonic boom as it passed over here yesterday afternoon.

Unconfirmed, but the timing is right. Via my @raspishake.bsky.social #RaspberryBoom

This is my own #RaspberryBoom #infrasound monitor, so I'm just curious.

I suspect that it is, but I live in a noisy place, so it's hard to be sure.

(Please ignore the very big event an hour or so ago when I rebooted it, thinking it was offline!)

@stevenjgibbons.bsky.social - could I get an opinion on whether you think this might be the sonic boom signature of the #Houston meteor this afternoon? Zooming in, it's vaguely N-shaped, but not enough to convince me.

Timing is correct at ~21:40UTC

Argent, a bend Gules, overall a Bernese Mountain Dog rampant, ppr.

I can't believe no one has done this, perhaps because it's somewhat questionable under Swiss law, but I had Gemini take the #Bern Canton coat of arms and replace the bear with a #BerneseMountainDog and change the colors.

The red is for their big hearts, and white for the snow they love.

So would this mean a surprise attack on an island part of a country wouldn't count as an attack on that country?

Surely everyone would see it that way, right?

IMPORTANT #RODENT NEWS: They can throw up.

Was reading about #squirrel behavior yesterday and came across this 2025 paper: "Observation of a grey squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) suggests that some rodents can vomit"

Rarely have I been so convinced by a paper just from Fig 1.

I either take that back or I fixed it...we'll see how it goes...

They seem very fraglie - this one seems to have developed a break during mounting in this frame, and not at all in place where I would have expected it...

And yeah - $6/m on AE, so a bit cheaper.

BUT - they also have a COB version, which honestly I would have preferred... www.aliexpress.us/item/3256808...

Technically 0807, I think. So more or less 2020 in size.

Yep - 2020's. I needed them quick, so I got them from the 'zon at $15/m. Half that with bigger quantities, and probably even a bit cheaper on AliE.

A modular synth edge-lit by warm white LED n00ds.

Made a custom acrylic faceplate for my new Music Thing Modular Workshop System, and testing a POC of edge-lighting it.

Lots of components means not a ton of light makes it to the middle, but it's not bad.

It brings me a bit of joy that many of these politicians will often have to fly through Kansas City International airport (MCI) (which, like the city, is actually in Missouri).

MCI has the correct sort of restrooms, one big inclusive space with individual (fully closed) stalls.
