chaos with Ed Miliband was promised so many moons ago and we have waited so long and, frankly, considering the other options, i'm open to it.

Not to be a broken record, but why on earth is Ed Balls there interviewing his wife's work colleagues about a scandal involving the government department she currently runs?

Time for the Abbey Road medley.

I just got served the trailer while watching some Beatles on Disney and I knew it was happening but hadn't really realised that *it was happening*.

Good luck inspiring them when it's not available to watch on a tv channel that everyone has access to. Or do you only get to be inspired if you can make it there in person?

Absolutely. It's the cool S! Though not sure I could draw it and get it right first time these days.

It's 10 years today since Prince died.
So a reminder of this, that happened on the other place, because sometimes sadness can still bring laughter.

Repressurising my boiler at 7am was not on my ideal schedule for the day.

One Day In September is a classic. All The President's Men. Mindhunter.

Then I'm mostly into history books, particularly science and codebreaking (Station X being the first, but there are so many), & the Russian revolution. So your mileage may vary, but my favourite ever is Fermat's Last Theorem.

I don't even have the folder location easily accessible because it's not one I go to ever, except for when I get told to save something there like this, so now I have to spend five minutes digging out exactly where it is when I'm sure she has it already open.

I do not understand why, when I have attached a spreadsheet to the email, the person in receipt of said attachment replies asking me to save it in specific folder instead of just saving it to that folder themselves. DO IT YOURSELF.

Last night's random overnight thought was how furious Toby Ziegler would be about AI writing.

I don't know why but it's a Jurassic Park score kind of morning.

Just had the smoothest interchange between metro and bus it is possible to have AND the ticket machine on the bus isn’t working so the trip is free. Scenes.

Follow up: is it possible to have a mild trauma response from terrible experiences with appliances?

Second wash with new machine, on a cottons wash. The spin cycle is, frankly, terrifying. I'm sure it's fine but it's so fast and it lasts so long. I'm sure it would be just as effective at half the time and I wouldn't be sat here waiting for something to go bang.

Clicking around in old playlists trying to find something to listen to, have ended up listening to Evermore (started with Josh Groban but inevitably switched to Dan Stevens) and really, it's the only thing out of all the Disney live action films that I would keep.

Will you come to my cottage this summer? Don't go to Russia. Come to my house. We'll have so much fun. It's so private. No one will know. [] We could have a week, or even two. We'll be completely alone. Together.

when I watched last year it was the storylines about HIV and AIDS that really hit home in terms of how much change there has been. I remembered them, but back then it loomed so large and was always such a risk when it came up. And there's been so much progress.

I'm about to try something that I think might fix a thing that wasn't working the way I expected yesterday and the solution to which came to me in my dreams. If it doesn't work I'm going to be so disappointed.
