We are looking at a painting of St Liphardus - a 6th-century lawyer, hermit and abbot in Meung-sur-Loire near Orléans, France. He is wearing bishops clothing including a surplus and mitre and is holding a crook. On a lead is a small knee high green and blue dragon.
We’re very sorry sir but you cannot bring your emotional support dragon in here.

Sorry to be overly sincere for a second, but here's why we decided to persevere through all of the bullshit and take over InfoWars.
There's just gotta be a line somewhere.
Thank you @pablo.show for letting me talk so openly about this.

Not sure I should be contributing to the airport check-in time discourse because my core bias is "I just love airports"

Exactly! Especially the last time we flew when Brexit gifted us a 90 minute queue for passport control and we met the first officer on the steps debating whether to offload our bags.

I'm hyperventilating just thinking about the BA outstations that don't even *open* check-in until 2 hours before the flight. A war crime.

Walking through the local dog walkers car park a Tesla (but of course) driving too fast cuts in front of me to do a three point turn.
In her haste to not wait five fucking seconds she drives it straight into the grass berm with a very audible crunch.
And the sun is out. Beautiful.

If you watch this and then follow it with a viewing of our current president's recent disassociated rant to schoolchildren about Biden's autopen, well, you have a perfect microcosm of the steep American descent into ignominy.

You always get a lot of angry replies here if you complain about the Greens blocking solar farms or power grid upgrades. Maybe they should stop instigating pile-ons and start instigating pylons.

This. As James has written about extensively if the climate emergency is really an emergency (it is) then we don't have the luxury of being so selective about who helps fix it.
If the Khmer Rouge reform and propose a solar farm next to my house I'm going down to the planning meeting to support it.

YouTube video by Philemon Allimadi
And it's similarly sent me back to Diblo Dibala. Kershaw is name-checked in this one:

heartwarming video of astronaut Christina Koch greeting her dog for the first time after returning from space. the pup can be seen snarling, back arched, before scampering to its word buttons and pressing "IMPOSTOR" repeatedly, then "FALSE. SKIN. FALSE. SKIN." several times

I have seen a lot of NIMBY selfishness in my time, but "my convenience matters more than cancer care" is a new low. Quite seriously tempted to email them and tell them as much.

The thing about AIs like Copilot is that they genuinely are really smart. It figures out things from documents scattered around that would take me ages.
But it's also like that super bright coworker who is also a known bullshitter. Useless because you can't trust a single fucking thing they say.

Sad to say that I just regard any bike I lock up in public now as essentially disposable and never spend more than £150 on them for that reason.
And use 2 old D locks rather than 1 so it is even less appealing - there will always be a more valuable and/or weaker target nearby.
