My gig went great! Here's a clip.

A small band practices in a garage. A drummer is at a drum kit, a bass player and guitarist are in the back, and two singers are at microphones. There is haze in the room and purple and blue stage lights fill the room with color. The band logo "Blue Nagoon" is in the corner of the photo.
A quick snap from rehearsal for my debut gig (as Blue Nagoon) coming up. I've had so much fun programming lights! Local folks, I hope you can make it - March 14th at the Crystal.
#Juneau friends, is your new years resolution to get out there and take some chances? I have a adult student rock band looking for a singer! Get practice singing in a band, meet lovely people, and have fun! Please spread the word.

For a second I got really excited that you'd covered Paula Cole. π Love your take on Human Nature, such a mood.
I've been quiet online but busy off. I have a gig penciled in. I got some sweet lighting equipment and have been learning how to program/sync it. I connected with an awesome drummer and am reaching out to singers. I'm so excited to put on a killer show. It feels good to look forward to stuff. π«£
My CDs are all in a box in the garage in case I ever need to re-rip them.
And soon the Fire!
I'm done with the #WNBA for the season. I'm done watching athletes get injured and hurt because too much "physical play" has been allowed. This has been an awful season because of this and I don't see it getting better. I should be excited about the playoffs but I've stopped watching.

Haha that's me but Crystal Pepsi.
I vividly remember that unit in elementary school. Of course this is back when the schools had funding. π

Or - and I'm just spitballing here - tell new stories that don't have to have Luke in them? I know, I know, pure insanity. π

A collage of four photos showing the progression of a DIY drum riser project. Photo 1 shows bucket lids screwed onto the underside of a piece of plywood. Photo 2 shows the platform upright with buckets attached to those lids as legs. Photo 3 shows the same platform with carpeting attached. Photo 4 shows the final riser in use on a stage with a skirt around the base to hide the buckets.
I made a drum riser! I got the idea from a couple drummers I found on YouTube. It uses buckets for legs. Surprisingly sturdy and portable. It breaks down to a stack of buckets and two 3' x 6' platforms. It worked great at a concert this weekend.
Aw thank you so much! It went really well.
These are my student bands, some of them performing out for the first time ever, and I want them to have a big supportive crowd. So please spread the word! It's also a fundraiser for the soccer club so it benefits our youth in a few ways!
Local friends, come out tomorrow (Saturday) night for some awesome live music! 7 rock/pop bands at the JACC 6-9:30 pm. Early night is cute kids bands, from ~7pm on are killer teen and adult bands. Some of the best cover bands in town that you've never heard! jahc.na.ticketsearch.com/sales/salese...
You're braver than me. Shingles is a really nasty one, I can't imagine stacking it with *two* others!
Or even "Driving the Last Spike" or most of the other songs on that very album!
