Nailed it.

Sign me up yesterday.

When I hike in the Midwest, I usually pulled 5 to 30 ticks off after.

This was in Saratoga, CA.

Thank you.

Got carpenter bees boring into your house or deck?

Don’t kill them. They are important native pollinators.

Hang a log with some pilot holes drilled in it and they’ll choose it instead!

Big buzzy curious bees that you’d have to work really really hard to get stung by. Really hard.

Don’t like carpenter bees boring holes in your house?

Hang up a bee log. A better house for them.

Random old log with a bunch of holes bored in (and up) about a half an inch.

They haven’t touched the house since and I get to enjoy these huge, beautiful, curious, fuzzy buzzies.

Yeah.

I’m not exactly real comfortable with our chances with the incoming administration if there is any sort of an outbreak.

Even the handling of H5N1 under the current administration has been woefully lacking.

Market vs what we pick in season in MO.

Still, those market chanterelles would be darned tasty.

Just such a trip to walk in the woods and pick 20 pounds in less than 20 minutes when the season is good.

Egg market still dammed weird around these parts. Only one vendor and ridiculous prices.

Yes. It confirms that a ton of people are falling for the misinformation campaigns aimed at Teslas and EVs, in general.

I was asked to test a bunch of 68040s for a math bug of a similar nature.

Wrote a Lorenz attractor calculator using a standards compliant math library.

If any two generated images contained a difference when started with the same seed, bug found!

Crab spiders are a favorite. In my parent’s garden, there will be one tiny spider per daisy flower.

This is a much larger one on a different flower.

Putting aside the conceptual barbaric nature of it all, “humanely” executing someone is trivial.

But all the trivial methods are either immediate death or death by euphoria.

The state will only accept methods that are neutral with a chance of pain.

Barbaric. Apt term.

My Glowforge's carriage belt came loose. Not a big deal; pulley unscrewed itself.

Requires an hex driver to tighten.

Conveniently, the tool that came with every NeXT cube to maintain the machine is exactly the right sized hex driver.

Proof that my "junk drawer" has treasures within.
