Rights came about because post-WWII Europe was a graveyard of starving, destroyed cities with LOTS of socialist and communist partisans with guns who had to be negotiated with.

International people have been reading it as an excuse for America's timidity and lack of a protest movement

Every comrade that goes to court in Athens has a mobbed courtroom. You can't see the ceiling because of all the cigarette smoke. People are in there for hours chanting, hanging banners so the accused knows they are supported. How do they treat the heroism of resistance in the US?

"why don't we protest like they do in france?" Many reasons from timidity, criminal risks, costs for injuries or even cities constructed to not be barricaded.

The lack of care about prairieland is something I'm getting mean about with people. That's my new bell weather. If it's too touchy for someone they ain't ready for where we need to be.

I really support going to a protest btw I mean no disrespect. But the saying goes to tear this down we gotta push from every direction. The onus is one YOU to notice and defend those putting real skin in the game to end this war machine. Don't wait til the mass movement arrives. We live here now.

If you find protests demoralizing you are not alone. Dull speakers who lead with their insta handles and a vocal minority itching to snitch on someone who does so much as burn a flag. If we could change the culture of support for people who take direct action I promise this would feel less hopeless
