Crew cab with short bed. Ahh.. the minivan for guys who are insecure in their masculinity.

1 every district in a swing state with electronic voting has the pattern and none outside. “Dropoffs happen” is not a response to a pattern of dropoffs.

2 adhominem. If you want to attack their report, do so.

smartelections.us/2024-electio... shows that districts with electronic voting in swing state have statistically unbelievable drop off rates in favor of Trump. This only happens in swing state districts with electronic voting. Trump cheated.

That’s a beauty.

Daughter brought home
a boyfriend who politely offered to do the dishes the other day. I was impressed and thrilled about her improved taste in men.

Then instead of pushing back and telling you “what you are asking for can’t be done” they will try. There’s a whole balancing act happening during model training around adjusting things like how much effort a model should make. Too much and you get hallucinations, too little and they refuse to work.

Due diligence is the responsibility of the user. In the recent case of the MAHA report, the hallucinations were due to someone demanding the ai produce citations to prove things which aren’t true. The ai did its best, but if you demand the impossible of an LLM…

Again, it’s a tool. Like going from hand to power tools, you quickly discover that power tools are capable of screwing a project up powerfully fast.

Hallucinating. And “for years” is questionable, given how long this tech has actually been around. That kind of misuse is unsurprising from non-technical users. I’ve seen Claude 3.5 and up make assertions only to retract them when I ask it to “look up the docs and provide deep link citations”.

I would also point out that “lying” is anthropomorphizing these tools. Hallucination is a known issue. A competent user knows how to address it, and a scared child calls it lying, as if there were some underlying consciousness or intent involved.

It’s been a while since my undergrad, but I’m pretty sure I remember how a neural net is built. Your explanation while not horrible is ignoring my point. Neural nets emulate the human brain. If a neural net is a plagiarism machine, so too is a human brain.

That sounds leftover-licious.

Every time we attribute a problematic symptom of capitalism gone wild to technology, we fail to address the real problem. We need to regulate capitalism. Powerful servant, terrible master.

Only if you believe that the human brain is low speed plagiarism.

Those potatoes have serious potential. I’ve been making my scrambled eggs the French way lately and cannot overstate how much I like that style. Highly recommend checking it out.

Lifted trucks are miserable to load or unload. Shit for fuel efficiency. Shit for hauling. Shit for towing. Drop hitches over like 2” are mechanically unsound and a fucking menace that should be banned.

As someone who actually offloads, I despise these idiots. Crew cab, long beds, with an 8” drop hitch? Body lifted stock anti-sway highway menace gas guzzler? Fuck em all. I hope fuel prices finally rid us of these stupid things.

Greed is oversimplification. It’s literally the mandate of CEOs to optimize shareholder value. And… we could fix that, but we need to fix that by regulations instead of expecting corporations to fix it themselves.

Congratulations? Next you should show us why chisels are bad screwdrivers or other examples of gratuitous tool misuse.

I’d point to the books by Michael Pollan if she actually wants evidence based and cited work. But this reads to me like “hur hur hur, this is a snowball, so there’s no global warming” level bullshit.

Are the ones being used by this administration to justify erasure of trans people, destroying food safety laws, rounding up immigrants into concentration camps and

They’re looking to create a registry of autistic people. Basic understanding of fascist history shows exactly what registries are for.

OP is short for Original Post or Poster, depending on context. You are not very logical. You choose to ignore context and weaponize language precision and then justify it with “I’m autistic”.

Bitch please. I’m autistic. The same rhetorical devices you are normalizing with this shit…

When OP says they’re worried about pesticide residues or food dyes, they’re not confused about chemistry — they’re using “chemicals” the way everyone uses it, to mean added or processed substances with potential health implications. But keep punching that straw man.

Replace income with wealth and you are spot on. I will also note that the wealth distribution is currently several orders of magnitude more unfair than it was during the French Revolution. Eliminate the top 100 billionaires and the wealth distribution problem is massively reduced.

“Everything is chemicals” is just “define woman” for the organic food debate — a technically true statement deployed to avoid engaging with a legitimate concern. I’d say shame on you, but perhaps intellectual honesty is outside your knowledge base.

Are you unclear what OP means when he says chemicals in the context of a discussion about organic foods? Or is your confusion performative?
