Day 21: A song about forbidden love

"I like the idea of Strat pickups, but I only use the bridge setting. Can you pile all 3 pickups down there? Oh and here's my grandma's cutting board to make it out of"
What's the neck dive like on that thing? Although the cello tuning is interesting๐ค

Day 20: A song about giving up
As someone that's lived in Indiana, I don't know what part of this song is funnier, that it's all true or the line "I'll puke if that jukebox plays John Cougar one more time"

Day 19: A song about perseverance
Sly and Robbie, Bootsy, Shinehead, Mudbone, Bernie Worrel, Bernard Fowler, what more could you want?

My favorite David Sanborn/Marcus Miller song is Run For Cover. And I couldn't even yell out the title to request it

A lot of times the questions are the same as common security questions. So it might say "Your hippy name is the street you grew up on, your first pet's name, and your mom's maiden name" And people will repost it with "Clover Fluffy Jones" without thinking of the info they're putting out there
I've started getting a little sourdough loaf (shaped about like a baguette) and making grilled cheese sliders with extra sharp cheddar. I love the mix of the sourdough with the sharpness in the cheese
So sorry for your loss๐
Thanks for the Alt Text, I was trying to figure out what it was. I imagine that was a great amp set up
Have you noticed AI doesn't know how to generate people who are overweight? It just makes them larger in all aspects, so they're usually 8 feet/2.3 meters tall compared to everyone around them. But still you see the videos trending where people are too lazy to spot the AI slop and repost it
Everyone needs that
Just a reminder, when you see those "harmless" posts that say "Your _____ name is your first car and your pet's name" or something like that, you're actually giving out the answers to your password security questions
I really liked them. I remember seeing an interview with Derek Frigo (guitar) and his dad Johnny (very accomplished jazz violinist) and he looked at his dad and said "When are you going to teach me a 4th chord?" Gotta love bands that don't take themselves too seriously!
I love my Martin, but no. This should not exist! It's a worse idea than Stinger guitars
If you're going electronic, at least here you can find old Alesis and Yamaha DTX kits fairly cheap. Roland is a little more expensive. And just like acoustic drums, you can swap out parts one at a time, including trigger modules, if they get better/more into it
Agree with the other suggestions. I got my son a Ludwig (like me). The good thing about drums is as long as you're starting off with a decent base kit, they can add to it and slowly upgrade rather than all at once like guitar. There's also DW/PDP, Tama, Gretsch. Any brand name will be good
That part of Grant Geissman's guitar solo on Chuck Mangione's Feels So Good (album version) where he switches from smooth jazz to hitting double stops and straight up shredding. I can't even imagine how much more difficult it is to do here on an acoustic

The cat is making you type that, isn't it
I'm with you. Soundgarden might be the exception, but their time signatures, song structure, and musicianship are so much different than the rest.

As if this song didn't rock hard enough already, then you realize he was 16 when this was recorded

My teen son and I were walking into a gas station yesterday and saw a black bird that had been run over. I stopped my son, pointed at it, and said "Quoth the raven nevermore" He just rolled his eyes at me

Oh you hadn't heard of them? If Rob gives them his blessing, they must be the real deal

I have them on one of my fretless basses. I like being able to switch the tone sometimes and they feel so nice
