Excited to share our new work in PDAC Cachexia. This work demonstrated that addition of factors like advanced age in murine models can uncover signatures that might have been obscured in other models.
Grateful for @jdoles.bsky.social ‘s mentorship and support!
Looking forward to all feedback :)

It was such a pleasure to host you, Eti! Thank you for making the long trip to tell us about normalizing CAF-ECM units to defeat #pancreaticcancer.

T Snyder “On Tyranny”—
1 Do not obey in advance.
Most of the power of authoritarianism is freely given. In times like these, individuals think ahead abt what a more repressive govt will want & then offer themselves w/o being asked. A citizen who adapts in this way is teaching power what it can do.

The news cycle right now - even just for science & higher ed - is overwhelming. We have to do it, but fortunately, we don’t have to do it alone.

My team is focused on tracking what’s happening to research funding, jobs & salaries, shared datasets, university responses & safety of our communities

More than ever, researchers need to explain how they use taxpayer money to provide tangible benefits.

I'll start: My lab has developed a completely novel way to make cellular therapies a lot more effective. Our approach shows promising results in pancreatic, ovarian and lung cancer.

Started off this morning emailing my Senators and Congressman about the NIH and the potential damage being done by unnecessary disruptions.

They need to hear from us loud and clear. Constituents matter to them as one of the primary purposes of a politician is to get re-elected (and its their job).

If you’ve been directly impacted by a pause or cancellation of an NIH study session, we @forbes.com would like to talk to you

I think this is one of my favourite colourful climate chart type things, because it depicts two things at once:

- Things are going to get worse, no matter what

- The degree to which they get worse depends on decisions made today
