Defeat the Darkness DATE! used the waiver and I got excellent actors who made my little teen dramady come to life. Two DtD actors from 12 years ago came back for this high school-AU spinoff, and the protections of the waiver likely helped that decision

YouTube reports indie animation is taking over:
• 61% of Gen Z fans say they enjoy independent animated series as much as or more than studio content
• The Amazing Digital Circus trended in 8/12 countries after just 4 episodes
• 50% of viewers watch animated content in other languages
Oh, I could scream about this for HOURS.
But suffice to say: This is what happens when large studios don't want to fund original projects, anymore.
They make Scooby-Doo for the 16th time, and the hot young talents goes off, runs a Kickstarter/gets backed by Glitch, and succeeds without them.
if executives just actually gave even a smidgeon of a shit about appealing to an audience and giving them what everyone can clearly see they want, there'd be untold millions- billions maybe- up for grabs.
