Have you shared that somewhere? I'd love to see the floorplan

Have you mocked up/designed any of these single stair buildings with 1 unit per floor and 3 or 4 bedrooms? I often have people asking me to to find floorplans for single stair buildings that are great for people who want a lot more space in a condo
Love seeing these mockups every time btw :)

“Four/Five” accessible flats - with bay window Juliette balconies.
We’ve been exploring a few different ways to bring some familiar elements to a new building type (while remaining honest about what is needed in the form and envelope of a contemporary low carbon building).
I made a coffee table! My most challenging woodworking project yet
I've chatted with Peter a few times and he always impresses me with his willingness and energy to teach and answer any questions I have about housing, urbanism, transportation, etc or anything really.
I can imagine him creating some really great change on Vancouver city council
Victoria, BC really has some great cycling infra
me finally owning a home in a walkable neighborhood when im too old to walk
+ connect them to austin ave in a friendly non car centric way
Vancouver golf club next?
haha jk, unless?
seems to me that the lougheed area isn't actually all that nice to live/walk in with so many major roads going through it. Selfishly (in burquitlam), some more ammenities northeast of lougheed could help turn the 2 neighbourhoods into a really cool area
I assume by no rezoning you mean everything is already upzoned to allow this right? So no rezoning applications
Right, makes sense. I was just confused what Mike's comment was in regard to. I think I read it as sarcasm but it wasn't haha
Just to make sure I'm following your point. Double loaded corridor so you only have options for windows on 1 or 2 sides. But with SES you could have a smaller lot, windows on both sides of the build and no or fewer windows facing the building beside you?
Oh I didn't know there were square footage caps per floor with single stair, interesting.
Ahh yeah, I hadn't considered how expensive the elevators would be
Are these longer buildings still single stair?
I kind of assumed that 2 smaller buildings taking up the same amount of space would be a better use of space. Less hallways, more flexability with floorplans, etc.
If you're on insta I'd love some support on a couple of accounts I run
One is me yapping about wellness, existentalism, purpose, etc for Cronicle: www.instagram.com/cronicle.me/
and the other is me making things, mostly woodworking: www.instagram.com/joemakingthi...
Words to live by! 🙏
I've never thought about it this way but that makes a lot of sense.
I often find the more I think about how to be successful the less successful I am as well. Just gotta keep my head down and keep pushing!
Are there any online developer/entrepreneur/freelance communities you are apart of that you love?
And do they want another member?
Don't look at the taped together cord grip. It doesn't look like that anymore
I built a lamp
Sapelle wood. Built a template out of 1/4" ply and then used a router trim bit to get the curved arm. Bought the lampshade at value village for $5. Blew my breaker because I was silly then learned some more and did a much better job of wiring up the socket.
This is so cute, love it!
My favourite genre of facebook post is math problems with a bunch of people arguing about the answer in the comments

If prioritized homes for people like we prioritize homes for cars we would be much further along in dealing with this housing crisis.
Ahh I totally misread that. Still very cool, looks like Yaak is doing pretty well
This is cool. I saw your post about making the dashboard available. Would you be making the dashboard available and the user would be responsible for supplying the correct data format?
