The easiest way to reduce congestion is a world-destroying asteroid event.
But the next easiest is funding busses so they can run more frequently.
Which will they choose?

That bike lane ending was a death trap. Closing the eastbound slip lane at that corner means whatever this becomes is an improvement.
Newly released records on the police response to the assassination of Melissa Hortman show officers knew a woman was lying motionless on the top of the stairs inside the Hortman home but waited 30 minutes to physically check on her.
Better luck this year!
The squill is crazy this year. Thankfully none in my yard, yet.
The internet reports mixed success with smothering, digging, or herbicides. I've found deep digging effective for containment in my own garden.
Volunteers cut back flowers in parks to reduce reseeding. Yhe rhizomatic spread is a bigger problem because it smothers native plants.
Kill on sight.
It's a horrible invasive plant that's all over Minneapolis, including our parks.
The challenge is you can't just pull it. It forms deep and wide root systems that allow it to travel under pavement. Individual flowers are connected by thread-thin roots.
You have to dig out the whole system.
Spring is here, so this is going to become a full time Creeping Bellflower hate account.
Kill your hellflowers. Tell your friends.
Where is Renee Good's killer, Jonathan Ross?
Where are Alex Pretti's killers, Jesus Ochoa and Raymundo Gutierrez?
Who killed Ruben Ray Martinez?
Who killed Silverio Villegas González?
Take your vacation! The doom will still be here when you get back.
Have it make you a calculator that runs claude in the background to perform calculations every time you press =

Eyewitness video from the scene of today's ICE shooting in California appears to (you guessed it) contradict officials' claims that the man "weaponized" his vehicle. The car is reversing and the agents appear to be well clear of it.
If an outcome of this war is a loss of meaningful freedom of navigation in one of the world’s key energy chokepoints, that’s a world historical scale defeat for the United States (i.e., *the* “freedom of navigation” power).
The civilization was his own underpants.

Obviously not a substitute for Congress doing its job, but now would be a good time for Clinton, W, Obama, and Biden to say something jointly.
The only people who can stop this are Mike Johnson and John Thune. If we are to believe the President, these two men will have enabled a pre-announced genocide and done nothing. Profiles in cowardice. A scar on Congress, the Constitution, and our nation.
Lend a thought for the children that the President of the United States intends to kill or orphan tomorrow.
Mike Johnson could save their lives, but he is a coward.
I wonder how much European capitals have considered what their response would be if the US uses nuclear weapons in Iran this week.

Historians of the (potential) future will wonder how a President this unpopular, doing something deeply dangerous and also wildly unpopular, was allowed to continue destroying the world for nothing.
The benefits are none. Nothing he does will regain any public support. This is all for nothing.
The President of the U.S. The man with the nuclear codes. And people are just going to pretend this is ok.
In a functioning society, he would be removed from office within hours by his own party.
And the media is just playing along like this is all good and normal.

A functioning legislature would impeach and remove a President acting the way Trump has been acting the past few days.
He could be impeached and tried in an hour. Done.
The Republican leadership in Congress are weak, dishonorable men who put a narcissist before nation.
Shame on them all.
I can't overstate it enough that this man does not get to decide any of this.
Despite Congressional Republicans' complete abdication of nearly all Article I powers, it remains the law of the land that the President has almost no unilateral decision-making authority regarding the law or the budget.
Of course wealthy people should get access to free childcare because you want the full breadth of society invested in the success of entitlement social programs.
That's why rich people get social security and medicare.
European welfare states have this all figured out already.
The US has blown through more Tomahawks than in all of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and for what? Global loss of access to the Persian Gulf? Deaths of hundreds of children?

Impressive that this company that clearly has many employees ("contractors" and "business partners" doing some pretty heavy lifting in the body text) successfully convinced an NYT editor to write this headline.
