Revoking their Mandates: the US? Oaxaca? And poems from Jeffrey Cyphers Wright

v I voted today. I voted to revoke the governor’s mandate. We have that right.

We do it for president too. Claudia has my support. I’m proud of her. My governor? He has to go.

So we vote.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if we had these democratic practices in the US?

Klobuchar: "I have personally warned this administration that there would be more deaths, that more of this would happen, and clearly they are not listening. So we ask people around the country to talk to their Republican representatives, to make clear this is not the America that is ours."

Revoking their Mandates: the US? Oaxaca? And poems from Jeffrey Cyphers Wright

ICE killed a nurse. Killed a poet.

In Oaxaca tomorrow we vote to keep or kick out the governor. Halfway through his 4 year term. Next year? The president.

I love our presidenta.

The governor? Tomorrow I vote.

How cool if in the US we had the same democracy?

J-T—I’ve only been to Indianapolis once. For a conference. Gave some readings. I liked the city a lot!

Careful, informed, and prepared. You know, once, for about 10 minutes, I was a Boy Scout. Sounds like good advice, my friend.

From family and friends? Mixed messages. Thinking to cast a wider net.

Visit the US or stay away? In part to celebrate 2 new books.

Fear? Protest? Reminder: I’m a dual national, Mexico and US; I’ve published a lot against the current administration; I will continue.

Looking for input, advice.

New Poet in Mexico! Here in Oaxaca, we get to vote midterm to revoke the governor’s mandate; we get to do that with the president. Wouldn’t that be a great addition to US democracy? Plus poetry from Jeffrey Cyphers Wright! Music from Nanci, Townes, and Silvio!
