Enjoyed differentiating classes and structs this morning, cat quietly listening in the corner, birds singing as the sun rises. βοΈ #100DaysOfSwift
Second part of structs complete today on Day 9 of #100DaysOfSwift - I learned a tip about using an extension for the initialiser if you want it to work a specific way. My bag of tips and tricks is getting full already, like my evening tum! π
We covered structs with mutating methods, computed properties and property observers in Day 8 of #100DaysOfSwift. Contemplating on ways to be creative and thoughtful with these tools. π
Back to #100DaysOfSwift, and went into more advanced closures on Day 7 - it's like new doors were revealed that I never knew were there... β¨πͺπ Exciting!
Loved the introduction to closures on Day 6 of #100DaysOfSwift! π Really happy I started this 100 day challenge, it's become something to look forward to each day - appreciate how encouraging it is! Today it cleared up some of the mist in my mind around closures - no longer so mysterious. π
Learned about variadic functions in Day 5 of #100DaysOfSwift today - I'm wondering where I could be creative with these in my personal projects. π‘ Also interesting to learn a bit about the history of parameter labels with Objective-C!
Day 4 of #100DaysOfSwift was loopy... learned that you can name loops, so you can write something like "break outerLoop" βΎοΈπ‘
I was inspired by Day 3 of #100DaysOfSwift to have fun creating a custom operator. Never done this before! It checks for a regex match: "Kai the cat" <?> /Kai/ (returns true) πββ¬β¨
Day 2 of #100DaysOfSwift completed. We did an overview of complex types - I especially liked diving into the elegance of enums and brainstormed how I could use these more in my personal projects. π‘
100 day challenge begins! π This was Day 1 of #100DaysOfSwift to get back into having fun with Swift. ποΈ We did an overview of basic language features, and I learned afterwards that 'interpolation' was originally about inserting words into manuscripts (from Latin for 'between' + 'to polish/refine')
