It seems obvious that Trump, without doing any math, somehow figured tarriffs could replace income tax and went full speed ahead into that idiocy.

To me it's obvious that the US needs higher taxation overall and higher tax scaling on the wealthy. However, it's also clear people really don't like paying tax, especially without the basics like health and education.

Until those things can be reconciled, they're heading for the fiscal cliff.
