If you can get to #Cromer in #Norfolk between now and Sunday (14th September), do go and see “Outsiders”, Marc Davenant’s remarkable photographic exhibition about #homeless people

We’ve just had a late cancellation for next weekend, Friday and Saturday 19th and 20th September.
There is a 1940s weekend along the coast in Sheringham so demand is pretty strong - experiencesheringham.com/activities-a...

It’s been such a busy week with the Cromer Carnival adding to the already busy town during the school holidays and we’ve loved being fully booked.
September will have a more relaxed feel about it, attracting those after a more relaxed break, and bookings are already brisk.

We’ve just added this brilliant new book about the building of the award-winning Cromer Pier to our guest collection, a fascinating read.

Having spent the last few weeks racking our brains trying to make our holiday place a real home from home it was lovely to receive our latest review, proving it’s the little things that matter #littlethings #cromer #holidaylet
A lovely atmosphere today in Cromer as RNLI Cromer hold their annual Lifeboat Day raising much-needed funds for this vital service #cromerlifeboats
Thought to be the longest chalk reef in Europe, possibly the world, the Cromer Shoal Chalk Beds was recognised in 2016 when it was designated as a Marine Conservation Zone. The designation intended to protect the incredible habitats and creatures beneath the surface. #cromer
It feels good to see some of our own artwork on the walls, some shots of lovely Cromer #cromer #ukcoast #englishseaside

On principle, I’m not a fan of zoos but I am never going to see these birds in the wild. Orange winged Amazon Parrot, Greater Rhea, Fulvous Whistling Duck, Scalet Ibis, from the Amazona zoo in Cromer. It is tricky to get decent shots through enclosures. You must get the lens close to the mesh.
This Friday Sunset Sessions on Cromer Pier return, 7pm to 10pm and free.
Now joined by Chillout Sunset Sessions on Sundays too, 5pm to 8pm

@motorhomegapyear.bsky.social as our motorhome adventure comes to an end we look to our new adventure in Cromer and our new holiday apartment
Had a very pleasant afternoon yesterday visiting Anglesey and Bangor
A brief stop in Keswick as the only car park available to us was being closed for an event so then on to Bowness. A brief but pleasant Lake District visit.
Discovered two lovely little places on the Solway Firth, west of Carlisle, Silloth and Maryport, perfect stopovers.
Included a visit to the Silloth Motorcycle Museum and the Senhouse Roman Museum, cited at the location of an important Roman fort.
As our last Scottish stay we booked into a Park Dean campsite in Southerness, a small village but with a lovely coastline.
The site reminded me (Tony) of my childhood going to holiday camps, especially the “entertainment” although Paula found her own, proud to find a crab.
Great visit to the Skapa Flow Museum today, after a short and very cheap ferry crossing to Hoy.
The museum is incredibly well laid out and tells the story the area played in two world wars in a very accessible way even for Tony the dyslexic.
Visited Skara Brae yesterday, europes most complete Neolithic village, occupied from roughly 3180 BC to around 2500 BC.
We thought our motorhome was big but these two, seen in the same car park on Orkney today, were massive!
A wander around the Museum and Catherdral in Kirkwall this morning then off to explore the amazing scenery of Orkney.
Found the perfect spot for the night, right next to a beach, so a glass of wine seemed in order
Had a great ferry crossing to Orkney with Northlink Ferries today and are currently in the capital town of Kirkwall.
We have again been very lucky with the weather, way better than you would expect for northern Scotland. #CoastalBritain #ukcoast #scottishislands #motorhometour
Well, it had to be done, made it to John O Groats, which wasn’t very exciting but one thing less on the bucket list. Considered staying in Wick or Thurso but both were pretty uninspiring so ended up in a tiny place overlooking the sea.
The last pic was taken at 1.15am and still some light
We had a lovely couple of nights in Brora, high up on the Scottish East Coast, parked by the cute, little harbour. Such an amazing little place on an unspoilt coastline. #scotland #motorhome #ukcoast #uktour #coastalbritain
