Sending acceptance vibes...

52 minutes ago 0 0 0 0

It took me so long to do, and I got more frustrated by the minute. The whole supplemental material reference thing really had me miffed. It all seems like a make-work project. We are literally paying to work.

Yes!

Oh, and while you're at it, references in your supplement (an entirely different document) need to follow in sequence from your main manuscript file.

How about YOU do it, copy editors?! I freeking pay you enough.

It is absolutely absurd that journals make you put your tables and figures at the end of the manuscript for review, then state that the table and figure footnote references need to be placed in sequence. Think about what you're asking authors to do.

Why do we put up with this?

I booked a study room at the the library to get some work done. A group of people was in there so I knocked on it when my booking time came up and they said they needed 5 more mins because they were doing a defense. WHY is a defense happening in a library study room?!

Showed up to work and immediately smelled something burning. Got worse by the minute. We evacuated. Now my throat is scratchy. Good times!

Lol... let's check in in 6 months to see if Doug the grifter has really sold the private jet that he used taxpayer's money to purchase.
How about focusing on emergency rooms and doctor shortages Dougie rather than a quick trip to your cottage?

This is a well-documented pattern in medical research and reflects systemic gender bias in pain assessment and treatment.👇

How conservation authority changes could affect Ontario's drinking water | The Narwhal Ontario drinking water committees, formed following the Walkerton tragedy, face an uncertain future as conservation authorities amalgamate

@thenarwhal.ca @fatimabsyed.bsky.social thanks for bringing this important water issue to the front!

“As the Doug Ford government moves to consolidate conservation authorities from 36 to nine, many are concerned about the impact on Ontario’s drinking water.”

Alberta to redraw electoral map, expand legislature to 91 seats in fast-tracked review The process would be overseen by a UCP-led committee of MLAs and would see the number of MLAs grow by four, up to 91

“The process would be overseen by a UCP-led committee of MLAs and would see the number of MLAs grow by four, up to 91, with no public hearings.”

Ripping up maps to rig the election.
Ripping up maps to rig the election. YouTube video by Naheed Nenshi

The UCP said they would respect the findings of the independent Boundaries Commission ... until they didn't like the results.

Now, they're ignoring the experts, who consulted with thousands of Albertans, to push through a map that would steal your vote and rig the election.

I stopped for gas in the Ottawa valley.
A guy was standing beside a pick up the size of an aircraft carrier.
"Goddamn price of gas," he said.
I pointed to the war In Iran.
He thought this was ridiculous.
"It's f--king Carney."
If the PM thinks he's going to win fans lowering the gas tax... lol.

The natural pattern of the cat’s coat resembles a suit with a tie, giving the animal an elegant appearance. The photos quickly caught the attention of internet users, who joked about the feline’s sophisticated look. Many highlighted how perfectly defined the pattern appears. This case is the result of rare genetic variations in the cat’s coat coloration. Unusual patterns like this help turn ordinary animals into internet phenomena.

I just saw this this morning and thought you would appreciate it: www.instagram.com/p/DXEXvCbjnT...

An independent commission did its job and delivered fair electoral maps.

But Danielle Smith and the UCP want to ignore them and redraw the map.

They think they need to cheat to win.

The government should accept those maps, without question.

Don’t let them take your vote and your voice.
