The movies themselves don't have that attitude and actively disavow that read. I don't know why though, it's the only way anything makes sense.

Hot Take. Dali was the Drake of Surrealism, except they never had a K-Dot, there was no Them Not Like Us moment, and we are all the worse off for it.

Wonder if that's the same cultural shift that give us the Aesir / Vanir dual pantheon thing.

Yeah, very little the Pythons did that Spike Milligan hasn't done (better?) already.

They had a Tori Amos gag
and song in the latest (thankfully post-Roiland) episode of Rick and Morty "Morty Looses His Fidget Spinner" - it was a deep cut too.

I used to have a dodgy bootleg of her covering Purple Rain live. I rinsed that all day every day. I need to find that again.

Cornflake Girl got to 4 in the UK singles chart. Professional Widow got to #1 in Ireland. Crucify was big here too. She's remembered and well loved by loads of Gen X / Elder millennials.

Comedy Horrors So in the previous list I made a distinction between black comedies and horror comedies, I hope that this list will make that make sense. Comedy like horror is all about timing, whether its a gag or a...

Both Shaun and Slither are on my list. I do love some horror comedy. letterboxd.com/kohhna/list/...

I'm not, why don't you know about this stuff? Again, for someone who is obnoxiously invested in all this you're remarkably ignorant of how the EU functions. Were you like 12 or something when Brexit happened?

10 months ago 0 0 1 0

Lol, that is completely deluded. You do realise that one of the issues that people have with the EU is that it is undemocratic and ignores popular national votes today go against it, as they did in Ireland, as in their conduct with the Greeks.

So they should have just ignored the referendum results and carried on like nothing happened?

10 months ago 0 0 1 0

Have you any evidence there was anything fraudulent about the vote or that a further referendum would have gone differently?

10 months ago 0 0 1 0

I used the wrong word, you still know what I'm talking about though, i.e. the national referendum you lost and are still greeting about a decade later

10 months ago 0 0 1 0

That had nothing to do with the result of the election itself. You're splitting hairs and you're still arguing that a popular national core should be ignored. England voted leave, what should have happened was that the regional autonomy of Wales Scotland and NI should have been respected.

Where's your evidence the result was 'dodgy'

10 months ago 0 0 1 0

What did he do specifically to sabotage the remain result? Not lie through his teeth like the rest of them? Also, "dodgy 'result'" lol. You're getting on like the Trumpers in 2020

10 months ago 0 0 1 0

He campaigned for remain. He adopted a position in 2019 that involved a second referendum. What the fuck else did you want?

10 months ago 0 0 1 0

Well, you keep saying things that are categorically untrue, like this entire thread from "Corbyn supported Brexit". I don't know if you're trolling or just thick.

10 months ago 0 0 1 0

As I said, I'm an Irish Republican, my primary concern over Brexit is how it effects the constitutional status of Northern Ireland, everything else is of secondary importance, if at all. Again, for someone banging on about the EU, you only seem to understand things in very narrow terms

I'm enjoying the salty Hun-tears over the Irish sea border, the other shit I don't care about. Nice story but you still seem incredibly bitter. The 2016 referendum happened and you lost, and you're still not over it apparently
